ITunes doesn't need decrypts ...

So why add it to the DVD ? It's fast to download.

If I put it on DVD or if you download it, it will be the same.

I installed it from Apple Update and I don't have any problem with it.

Oh and for those who want me to add support in Rev.2.

That's all I want but it's a waste of time to ask here.

I will not go through 84+ pages to find what you want in Rev.2.

There's a dedicated forum for Rev.2.

I keep asking all to test and tell me which kexts works on their system but only a few number of persons answers me ...

Maybe you don't want as much support as it seems ...

That's the last time I say that:

I HAVE ONLY ONE PC TO MAKE REV.2. I NEED FEEDBACK FOR OTHER SYSTEMS.

WE ARE A COMMUNITY SO WE MUST WORK TOGETHER.

AND STOP ASKING SILLY QUESTIONS FIND THE ANSWER BY YOURSELF !

Damn ...

I installed it from Apple Update and I don't have any problem with it.

I'm guessing you haven't tried importing stuff using iTunes 7.5... here it works until iTunes accesses an mp3 file's artwork (usually when importing).

There's a dedicated forum for Rev.2.

I didn't know about the other forum for Rev2... sorry.

If there was a cleaner way of doing it and the wiki for your build was updated more, you'd probably see more response.

As it is, as you yourself have commented, most people cannot go searching through 84 posts... the signal to noise ration is too high.

I didn't even know you were asking, or where to send you such info and i've been on this thread for several days.

STOP ASKING SILLY QUESTIONS FIND THE ANSWER BY YOURSELF !

Same problem as above... with info spread out everywhere or mixed in 100 replies, it's difficult for even you to find information (as you've stated)...

Suggest you try recruiting someone who's interested in helping with this version's wiki documentation and combing the forums for all the latest info; organization is your friend.

- The wiki was not created by me.

- The dedicated forum was not created by me.

- To create Rev.1 I did not used forums or irc (except for kernel) or anything but my brain and Google. As I'm not superhuman I think it's possible for all to do the same

(it just takes time and a lot of coffee and cigarettes ...)

- I don't need any organization because if I take time to make Rev.2 it's only because a lot of people wants more and because I felt in love for Mac OS ... Don't forget that Rev.1 was made for my own use.

- The only persons that need to be organized are those who want to make Rev.2 as compatible as possible and these persons created the wiki and the forum at the beginning of this month.

- My main purpose by doing these releases is to learn more and more about Mac OS and help AMD users to discover what is Mac OS more easily.

- Contrary to some persons that ask for donation (just because they created a pkg ...), I don't want anything in return, NOTHING.

And the previous message was just because I'm tired to see people complaining (again and again and ...) about some errors which can be solved by using Google.

:D

@ Zephyroth

I am behind you Zeph...I think that we all must appreciate all yours efforts (coffee and cigarettes as well, lol) on making this Rev 1 "public". And we all are aware (are we?) that there is a lot of issues to deal with and that is exactly why were are here for...My knowledge about OSX does not reach the low level or alike requiered to make everything working as I have in others OS, but at least I am trying. So, as somebody wrote on a previous post: "install>test>make some research>report>enjoy...". :D

I just want to thank you once again Zephyroth, I had botched my install with a security update, and had gone back to windows xp for a while. This morning I installed JaS 10.4.8, went through the initial account setup, then rebooted to the Zephyroth DVD, and just installed to the same drive, rebooted, removed Ge* and NV* in single user mode, installed the kexts the same way I mentioned VERY early in this thread and it worked like a charm. This is an outstanding disc, and I can't wait for v2.

zephyroth, let there be no doubt that you're doing an awesome job. I'm sorry if people are complaining, but who cares... they don't understand what you're doing here and the community that is building around the work that you generously share (for no profit).

Is the wiki author here? Maybe someone can volunteer to help with it and ease the burden (and silly questions) on zephyroth. I would, but sadly I'm busy in the extreme these days.

Can someone please tell me how to update Quicktime for this DVD? If I try to install 7.3, I can no longer play videos in it, and if I try to use Quicklook to view a movie it crashes Finder.

Try marvin's utility to fix the problem with quicktime.

As for the wiki, please be patient as we all have lives, and can't spend every minute on the forums.

The best way to help us update the wiki, is by PMing us with what you would like added.

Thanks!

Try marvin's utility to fix the problem with quicktime.

I thought that might be it... Tried it, and it found 9500-some candidates, found 40-something with CPUID's, then stopped with an error... If I can't get an answer here, I'll just move on to the Marvin's thread, but it is specific to this DVD.

Hi, my first post here. Since Vista SP1 should be coming out soon, i'll be reinstalling all of my stuff

I came across this: (Link Removed By Author) along with the torrent, but rapidshare is way better than torrents (if someone gave you a free rapid preemy ;) )Anyway, I haven't played around with it yet but when I do, I wanna know if this will work, or if theres something else I need.

Here is my current specs: sig1xv9.png

Try Leopard, it's really worth it. One a Mac user, always a Mac user. It's incredible: The operating system is larger and more powerful than Tiger, but it's faster than its predecessor. This isn't the strength of Vista. You also have to see CoverFlow in action.

Hi, I'm in really trouble with this...

OK, I installed once and all worked just fine till the first screen of the OS... It gave me a message that my keyboard (PS2) was not connected...

Then I had to format the HD again because I just couldn't boot windows...

Once in windows i found the solution to the keyboard problem then I tried the same installation, the same steps, made the keyboard thing and....

GOT stuck on the first screen, with mouse working with the "loading" status and that's it... i just stays there...

Someone can help me with this?
