  1. Intel Wireless Drivers [OSx86]

it sounded too good to be true. all the "proof" and the theory. it just seemed as though this was really happening. i wonder if any of the others who had offered to help have any knowledge of whats going on. I'm looking to get a usb dongle or just plain swap out my wireless card. If only apple supported all intel hardware. not just motherboards and other apple parts. Hopefully apple will come to their own sense and add more support.
  2. Intel Wireless Drivers [OSx86]

how much do one of those cost? (this is me being lazy after waking up early the morning after a party)
  3. Intel Wireless Drivers [OSx86]

i knew it was too good to be true. guess we will all just have to wait. or maybe its time to go for a different hardware choice? well i guess its still windows vista for now until i figure out the wireless situation. i can only use leopard for photoshop and music.
  4. Intel Wireless Drivers [OSx86]

any progress update pjmiller? its been 10 or so days since we last heard from ya. just wanna make sure everything is alright.
  5. Intel Wireless Drivers [OSx86]

do you have the 5100 or something close to it? from intel? i have leopard 10.5.7 just waiting to get the wifi to work. everything else works for me.
  6. Intel Wireless Drivers [OSx86]

the anxiety is raisin. the count down is killin me especially since its unknown. share somethin with us pj. we'd all love to hear an update.
  7. acer aspire 6930

im gonna wait to agree on this with you. I know there probably are people out there working on the wireless 5100, stated by pjmiller. Its just a matter of time. I will just have to do my research. if i don't see anything in 2 weeks i will go out and buy the broadcom card. is it an internal card, usb, or plug 'n play card?
  8. acer aspire 6930

i updated with the ideneb 10.5.7 combo update. first boot didn't work out so well. i read that if i had the voodoo kernel that i had to type "voodoo" when i was booting up. which i did and leopard just restarted. so i thought i was screwed. i then hit f8 after the restart and typed in the flag -f and it booted perfectly fine. everything works from the previous install. still waiting on a hack for the intel wifi 5100 driver but i have found someone who is making a work around. I really do appreciate it "pjmiller" anyways i'm off for now. later. and if anyone has any questions about getting their sound to work let me know. i have gotten it to work because of a helpful friendly insanely macr
  9. Intel Wireless Drivers [OSx86]

just wondering what the status is. im quite excited to get my 5100 device working on leopard. it will complete the operating system for me. I can't thank you "pjmiller435" enough for the commitment you have put into to your studies.
  10. acer aspire 6930

my update. sound officially works!!! yayayayay. ok now for the things that still don't work. ethernet. nor does the wifi work but i did find out that someone is working on a program that will make this work hopefully it will be out in the next few days. oh i went back to ideneb 10.5.6 v4
  11. acer aspire 6930

so i downloaded iatkos 10.5.6 i believe, however i am not positive. i got it to boot into the dvd with the flag -f, installed perfectly first boot didn't work very well since keyboard wasn't recognized. i had to boot with flag -f again and it worked perfectly fine. still no audio or internet. i'm trying to work on this. I would love to have audio and internet working.
  12. acer aspire 6930

well just tried XxX 10.4.11 with no luck. it boots the dvd but freezes on loading the installer. im going to try XxX 10.5.6 hopefully this one will actually boot and load the installer. Unless anyone knows if there is some driver out there for intel wireless wifi 5100. after i get it to work then i can work on that and get the sound to work while surfin on leopard itself instead of switching back and forth between windows vista and leopard.
  13. acer aspire 6930

so im downloading XxX 10.4.11. Seems as if this version is liked by a lot of people because of the patches and whatnot. Hopefully this one will be functional. I couldn't even boot into the iPC 10.5.6. The only version that works for me right now is iDeneb 10.5.5. No sound and no internet which is quite a bummer. I'll let everyone know how it goes after install. fyi i'm dual booting windows vista and osx86. with chameleon boot loader.
  14. ok so heres the deal. i downloaded ideneb v1.4. It installed and booted no problem. Only issue is i'm trying to get the audio to work. i have realtek high definition audio card. my computer is: acer aspire 6930 4gb ram intel core 2 duo processor t6400 bluetooth etc... i'm trying to get the audio to work first and foremost. next i want to get the wireless to work. my wireless card is intel wireless wifi link 5100. If anyone can help out with any of this id appreciate it very much. you can contact me on msn: teeradio@live.com aim: rockstaraholic88 or yahoo messenger: slushradio i appreciate all the help i can get.
