  2. Leopard doesn´t start without the install-cd

restart the pc and boot from disk, once at the installer open terminal and type: fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0s1 (rdisk0s1 being your disk, could be rdisk 2s1)(you figure it out) flag 1 then i think thats it, just type "quit" then type "reboot" and take your disk out... if there was a nother step im missing someone please correct me
  3. NForce SATA Controller

  4. NForce SATA Controller

can i install this onto my working installation? or do i need to patch the dvd and reinstall?
  5. So after install the AMD 10.5.2 update found on the "bay" i downloaded and installed the graphics update from apple - rebooted into "-s" mode and patched the files with "cpuid-graphics.txt" went fine - but upon restart i got a kernel panic (im using 9.2.0 kernel, with efiv8, Zephyroth's universal nvidia installer with NVInject 0.2.1) panic involved "IOPCI" stuff, didnt catch it all before hitting reset... Anyone else having this issue
  6. New AMD DVD for leopard

Mine also worked but music played kinda crackly sounding so i downloaded "AppleHDAPatcher" (i think that was the name), and then a linux dump from an ALC880, ran the patch with the linux dump, and now sound is great! Also got parallels to run , if you edit its ".plist" and remove the lines that tell it to check for "GenuineIntel" it will install...It works but my cpu doesnt support "Virtualization" so its pretty slow running parallels.
  7. in this computer..?

so wre you able to install it to hard disk, but now it crashes when you accept license? or it crashes when you boot the dvd and try to install?
  8. New AMD DVD for leopard

Right now only solution is to transfer account from a working install of "Tiger". best thing to do= install tiger on an old worthless hdd, set it up and then reboot into leo, transfer account, once thats done, reboot into tiger, and use disk util to make an image of the entire "leopard" disk (disk that yyou installed leopard on), leave it there on the tiger drive or place it somewhere safe now everytime you have an issue and ned to reinstall, just boot back into tiger, goto disk util, and restore that image onto the "Leopard" disk. Good luck
  9. New AMD DVD for leopard

OKay i fixed my broken "iTunes issue", heres what made it work (simple) deleted itunes/ deleted varoius "iTunes" related files from /Library/... and System/Library ( i just deleted anything with the word iTUnes in it) , rebooted, ran "Automation" scripts with Onyx (all but folder display), rebooted then installed the "iTunes7.5.dmg" from apples website (I had previously downloaded it). Now it works!
  10. New AMD DVD for leopard

no, thats pretty much it. If you want a plain leopard install, then your gonna have to download another few GB's called tiger - consider it part of leo because thats what it has become at this point = neccesary unless you have intel CPU or a real mac - this is what you get. Good Luck!
  11. New AMD DVD for leopard

No i havnt tried that but i will now Yes i have run onyx since i got it installed - and use it almost everytime i turn on the PC, thank you though. If i find a solution i will post here and let you know man.
  12. New AMD DVD for leopard

hmm, i just cant do it- im to picky, im a fan of itunes only in mac os x ( and not in windows, in windows i only use WMP11), i dont know why im just wierd that way, i dont like having more than one app to do the same thing as another.. I will get itunes to work eventually, i have four hdd's anyway Leo, Tiger, Vista, and Ubuntu...so im good
  13. New AMD DVD for leopard

my itunes worked fine until update- but i tried patching and reinstalling itunes, neither one fixed the problem... Google search- duh!, why didnt i do that sooner
  14. New AMD DVD for leopard

well i got everything working- did a system update, then patched my install with marvins AMD utility, working fine again now, and all my apps run great!, except itunes crashes at launch (wont even open up the window)- cant find any binaries/cpuid's to patch and reinstalling it with the itunes 7.5.dmg from apple.com didnt work either.... not a huge problem but would be nice to listen to music. Any body else have this issue?
