mrburns05
Thank's for the tips but i'm asking exactly the opposit of this. I don't want to install tiger, if I wanted that I would not download zeph's release. I want a plain Leopard Install, don't want to download 6 Gbs of install discs (leo and Tiger). I'm asking if I can install drivers at the terminal, if it's not possible and the only way is to install tiger, ok, just confirm that. I just can't believe that I'm just a few screens away from getting it done and I'll have to install tiger Can anybody give another tip? no, thats pretty much it. If you want a plain leopard install, then your gonna have to download another few GB's called tiger - consider it part of leo because thats what it has become at this point = neccesary unless you have intel CPU or a real mac - this is what you get. Good Luck! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73524-new-amd-dvd-for-leopard/page/71/#findComment-577512 Share on other sites

kid_icarus
Thanks you guys for the replies. ShadeZeRo: I tried the latest NVinject Go drivers and it worked! I have my NVidia Geforce GO 6150 up and running, CI but no QE yet. Thanks again! As for my wifi problem, I checked for extra wireless kexts, nothing at all. I should be looking in the "Plugins" directory of "IO80211Family.kext" correct? I will post a more detailed description of my problem when I'm booted into Leopard next. Mayne some screen shots. kid_icarus
Well I tryed these commands and I did add the boot string to the drive but still no boot :sudo -s fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0 update f 01 w q reboot I may be wrong here, but I think when I installed I selected the active partition by typing just "f 1" and not "f 01". Maybe this is your problem... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73524-new-amd-dvd-for-leopard/page/71/#findComment-577825 Share on other sites

Lifeforce
I must say that this release is on par with the Tubgirl releases for AMD. However, I was wondering what I'd need to do in order to get my ATI x1300 working on this release? Is it possible just to run the package install off of a Tubgirl dvd and install the kexts that way or am I going to need NATIT? Any help would be greatly appreciated. mrburns05
hi, hangs on the part where it ask : "do you already own a mac?" Everytime i choose not to transfer my data he puts me back to where i can choose my language. what can i do? Right now only solution is to transfer account from a working install of "Tiger". best thing to do= install tiger on an old worthless hdd, set it up and then reboot into leo, transfer account, once thats done, reboot into tiger, and use disk util to make an image of the entire "leopard" disk (disk that yyou installed leopard on), leave it there on the tiger drive or place it somewhere safe now everytime you have an issue and ned to reinstall, just boot back into tiger, goto disk util, and restore that image onto the "Leopard" disk. Good luck Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/73524-new-amd-dvd-for-leopard/page/71/#findComment-577987 Share on other sites
