    iATKOS ML2 Xen issues

    What kind of commercial spin-off do you see in my post ? As I understand if I told you that I experimented this issue on my physical hardware there were no problem, but there is one if it's on virtualized hardware (thus ... on my physical hardware) ? I found the solution: - Grab the cpuids - Convert them in binary - Just past the result in the configuration file of the VM like this: cpuid = [ '4,0:eax=00011100000000000100000100100001,ebx=00000001110000000000000000111111,ecx=00000000000000000000000000111111,edx=00000000000000000000000000000000', '4,1:eax=00011100000000000100000100100010,ebx=00000000110000000000000000111111,ecx=00000000000000000000000001111111,edx=00000000000000000000000000000000', '4,2:eax=00011100000000000100000101000011,ebx=00000001110000000000000000111111,ecx=00000000000000000000000111111111,edx=00000000000000000000000000000000', '4,3:eax=00011100000000111100000101100011,ebx=00000011110000000000000000111111,ecx=00000000000000000001111111111111,edx=00000000000000000000000000000010', ]

    iATKOS ML2 Xen issues

    I answer myself, it has to do with VT-d which I must disable to launch it on my physical machine. Thus I don't see how to make it work using Xen. Any hint is appreciated because I know it works using VirtualBox with VT-d enabled but I want to use it with XEN.
  3. Hello, I'm trying to install iATKOS ML2 using Xen 4.6 and regardless the various boot args it leads to a kernel panic saying "can't perform kext scan: no kext summary" (see attached screenshot) I know it has something to do with the kexts cache but booting using UseKernelCache=No, -f or -x doesn't change anything. I tried to boot directly on the dvd on my computer and it panic like on Xen. My hardware is: Intel Core i7 860 Asus P7P55-D i tried to mount the iso read-write and to remove the cache files it doesn't change anything. Anyone has an idea ? Regards. EDIT: I tried other distro which panic here too

    waiting for root device

    Hmmm ... I have two DVD drive, one is IDE, the other is SATA. Only the IDE drive is able to boot the DVD ... at least on my system. Some people reported that their SATA DVD drive was working correctly with 10.5.1 which contains an older version of AppleNForceATA by MeDevil.

    Don't worry, I'm not dead ... I'm working on Rev.2 (which is now 10.5.2 Rev.1) but I rarely check this forum now that there's one for Rev.1. -----> osx.kbot.de

    casemon - The wiki was not created by me. - The dedicated forum was not created by me. - To create Rev.1 I did not used forums or irc (except for kernel) or anything but my brain and Google. As I'm not superhuman I think it's possible for all to do the same (it just takes time and a lot of coffee and cigarettes ...) - I don't need any organization because if I take time to make Rev.2 it's only because a lot of people wants more and because I felt in love for Mac OS ... Don't forget that Rev.1 was made for my own use. - The only persons that need to be organized are those who want to make Rev.2 as compatible as possible and these persons created the wiki and the forum at the beginning of this month. - My main purpose by doing these releases is to learn more and more about Mac OS and help AMD users to discover what is Mac OS more easily. - Contrary to some persons that ask for donation (just because they created a pkg ...), I don't want anything in return, NOTHING. And the previous message was just because I'm tired to see people complaining (again and again and ...) about some errors which can be solved by using Google.

    ITunes doesn't need decrypts ... So why add it to the DVD ? It's fast to download. If I put it on DVD or if you download it, it will be the same. I installed it from Apple Update and I don't have any problem with it. Oh and for those who want me to add support in Rev.2. That's all I want but it's a waste of time to ask here. I will not go through 84+ pages to find what you want in Rev.2. There's a dedicated forum for Rev.2. I keep asking all to test and tell me which kexts works on their system but only a few number of persons answers me ... Maybe you don't want as much support as it seems ... That's the last time I say that: I HAVE ONLY ONE PC TO MAKE REV.2. I NEED FEEDBACK FOR OTHER SYSTEMS. WE ARE A COMMUNITY SO WE MUST WORK TOGETHER. AND STOP ASKING SILLY QUESTIONS FIND THE ANSWER BY YOURSELF ! Damn ...
