  1. HDMI 2.0 for 4k 60hz?

Not sure If I understand you. The way I see, MacOS doesn't support the HDMI 2.0 in my GPU so I have to use the DisplayPort Out with an adapter since my TV doesn't have a DisplayPort In. You seem to suggest the opposite: I need and adapter to plug in my TV HDMI In and then send it to the DisplayPort Out on my GPU. But I don't believe there is such an adapter (HDMI -> DisplayPort). At least, didn't see anybody online saying they did that. The one I got is DisplayPort -> HDMI. I plugged it to the DisplayPort Out in the GPU, then used a HDMI cable to go to the HDMI In on the TV. As I understood, it's the same as this adapter that reportedly was working (https://www.amazon.com/Club3D-Displayport-1-2-HDMI-CAC-1070/dp/B017BQ8I54). I didn't get this one because it's insanely expensive here in Brazil (R$300 (U$ 95) as opposed to the R$100 (U$30) from Dell). Since I find Dell to be very reliable, and the site is informing that was capable of adapting to HDMI 2.0, I decided to try it out. Like I said, it did work on windows, but not on MacOS. I don't know...
  2. HDMI 2.0 for 4k 60hz?

I Just bought an adapter from Dell (http://accessories.la.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=br&l=pt&s=dhs&cs=brdhs1&sku=492-bbxx) and it works beautifully on Windows. But I still can't get 4K@60hz on MacOS Sierra. I plugin the TV, the signal goes through and it works for a minute or so, then the screen starts blinking, then goes black and freezes the computer. Right now I'm on Imac 17,1 SMBIOS. Used to use MacPro 3,1, then iMac 14,2. I thought I could try some other options to see if it works, but no success. The GPU is Geforce 1050. The TV is a Sony X835D I starting to feel frustrated.
  3. HDMI 2.0 for 4k 60hz?

Yep. I bought a 4k TV to use as a monitor. As always I researched a lot before buying and yet, did not anticipate this problem
  4. HDMI 2.0 for 4k 60hz?

Was this solved in anyway on Sierra? The patch that worked on El Cap, does not work on Sierra. people just accepted that they need adapters? I ask because I'm not able to find updated discussions about this.
  5. Hi everyone. HDMI is working 4k@60Hz without any patches? I read that MacOS does not recognize HDMI 2.0. Then in El Cap there was a patch that made it work, but it was not working on Sierra. Was this issue solved? I didn't find anything about this getting solved, only about people getting Club3d adapters, which in Brazil are insanely expensive. I have a 4K TV as monitor, it doesn't have DisplayPort.
  6. ALC888 Mavericks DP7

Okay, so, to give info on how it worked: This kext from 10.8.3 (patched for device-id 12) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/285201-alc888-applehdakext-for-moutain-lion-10821083-version/ And my old DSDT from 10.8.4 with the device-id 12 - 0x0C, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 hooray!
  7. ALC888 Mavericks DP7

This post: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/291693-npci0x3000-breaks-audio/ made it work, but not work. Actually, after I removed npci and PCIRootUid from boot.plist I had different responses but only this one http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/290361-alc-888-dp2-2/ made the analog I/O's work. My problem now is that I need SPDIF to work with my Home Theater and I get silence on this one. EDIT: Actually the only Output that's working with the kext i mentioned is front headphone output. So, yeah. I'm still not happy. haha.
  8. ALC888 Mavericks DP7

Hi, thanks for that, but it didn't work. I don't understand how it works for everybody else. At boot the only sound message I get is "Sound assertion in AppleHDAController at line 483", does this help to identify my problem? Anyway I'll keep trying, and maybe try a fresh install. Is there a way to do a fresh install directly at DP7? Or would I have to repeat all DP1 install, and updates 2-7?
  9. ALC888 Mavericks DP7

Hi, I just installed Mavericks and everything works perfectly except for the audio. I tried using my working kext+dsdt from ML, but it didn't work. Then I tried every kext and combination I could find and still no sound. Can anybody point me to a working kext (and possibily dsdt/hdaenabler setting?) Or at least to a successful patching tutorial? MB: GA-EP43-DS3l ALC888 Core2Quad Q9300 4Gb Thanks.
  10. Alc 888 dp2-2

Hi, does this work on DP7? I tried every kext I could find and it just won't work. Can anybody provide a kext and instructions (if necessary)? Can you explain the files and patches you used? Thanks.
  11. Airport-like app for Ralink 2870

the 64 bit kext and app would be grrrreeat!
  12. OK, just for feedback This file 1.5.7a24 888.zip worked on my Gigabyte EP43-DS3L And with this tutorial I got sound on all my speakers: [How to] Have sound on all of your speakers by macgirl Thanks!
  13. 5.1 on ALC850, still nothing?

Hi guys, my OS X works fine, it's all great, but.... I just bought a 5.1 set of speakers to watch movies and found out that 5.1 doesn't work. So I made a research (same problem with tiger here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=15173) and saw that it's a very old problem that doesn't seem to appeal to anybody to solve it. So, that's it? It wont work? thanks.
  14. How to get your ALC850 Sound in 5.1 Configuration.
