There is a company that paid programmers to develop an OS that missed its release dates, not date, but dateS. And when it did come out, it was a POS! The software is so bad that hordes of users webt back to a previous version that was less of a POS.

 

Can you guess who I am referring to?

 

I am in agreement with others on this post, uphuck is doing this because he wants to, not because he is being paid for it. People that do things for the love of it usually make a better product, and get it right the first time.

There are plenty of people that appreciate your efforts and understand why you haven't released your version of Leopard yet. The ones that complain are in the minority, albeit a vocal minority. I'm afraid your plea to not argue or complain about your projects fall on deaf ears...the complainers don't care because they are selfish, stupid or are simply just asshats who will continue to complain no matter what.

 

Keep up the good work and we look forward to your next release when you deem it ready.

shure this will help his motivations,

 

FYI

uphuck 10.4.9 V3 is perfectly usable ,

one core is better than non, and lots of times, I run it on cpus=1 , to get more battery and less fan noise,...

for the sound , use a usb dongle,

for the X3100, yeah , waited , waited,.... and went for a gma950,

(looked at macbook pro's. but needed 1280x1024 min for biz,....and macbooks where not approved buy corp.)

so you could still trade yours with an gma950 ....

or run it in vmware , hrumpf,... have not tried, but a consideration,.... since in winblows, sleep works, speedstep works, booth cores for main os,...

should ease the pain,..... all others run windoze in vmware the other way,.... and a macbook should be on top of the list,....

This thread is really funny.. First impatient noobs thinking that we are not delivering what we promised.. Then pompous Mods trashing our work..

 

Nothing to be said in these forums... I just couldnt help myself to put up a post..so here it goes..

 

1- iATKOS wil bring leopard to pcs.. that it will be the first decent dvd that will do that.. we all know the issues with other versions ..

2- We are obligated to nothing.. When ever its done, it will be released.. Most People dont know what has changed in Leopard installation..

it takes time to make it **generally usable***

3- For those who support us, we thank you and we hear you... no worries...

4- uphuck 1.4i was a masterpiece.. everyone should learn something from it.. If you think its only Package unification, you are wrong my friend or didnt even look what we have done..

 

with these said, I hope everyone will wait patiently for the release.. The new bootloader integration is close to completition, we have a working iATKOS right now which have no receipt problem or free from link errors..

 

for more info you know where to look..

 

PS: This is my last post on insanelymac.. Whatever comes out in this tread I will not reply.. people instrested know where we are..

Why announce a release date of Nov 9 and not follow it? You knew you probably weren't going to release your build by the 9th days before. You wait till the day of release to say "oh it's not done, we need to include more updates blah blah blah". Now you don't even have an idea of when yourrelease is coming out or at least one your not sharing with the community. Release what you had as a RC1 or something and let people f with it. Make your so called more updated version the next release. Don't tell people when your project is going to be done and then don't deliver. Of course someone is going to say oh well uphuck and team doesnt have to do anything! Yes that's true but who gives an f. Someone else would come up with their own build and take uphuck's place. Either release it or don't and let someone else make their own. I'm tired of being teased by this supposed holy grail of leopard releases.

Anyway, I am sure we're all excited for this release. The way I look at it? The longer it takes, the better it's going to be. Especially now that 10.5.1 is out, hopefully the delay will allow us to get the latest OS X version with minimal hassle.

 

Take your time, guys! My computer isn't on a detonation timer.

guys let's just all relax... what uphuck is doing is amazing, i mean they give us good working versions of OSx86 for free... what else do we want? i havent yet installed OS X on my PC but i'm waiting for this last release so that i can just get the newest one... i will wait untill it comes...

well i guess at least he posted this rant here, instead of on the uphuck boards where it would do more damage and hurt.

yes, some people are complaining about the wait, but in harmless little threads, with lots of anticipation, lots of guessing about what's going to be included, and most of them have a friendly "waiting for christmas" feel.

the majority of people here really appreciate and admire the skill of the guys who release these disks , and don't want them hasseled.

with a bit of work, and the new efi hack, you can already do amazing things with Toh, so have a go, you'll feel great when you get it to work :D

Hope you won't be disheartened by ppl like the OP. Consider him as Steve Jobs in disguise to prevent installation of OSX on PC ;)

whats the point of building peoples hopes up about your so call sweet dvd. all i see is yab yab yab and no dvd. and i bet you £50 there will be no dvd release.

so get up off you ass and make your own dvd. lots of people has the latest leo running sweet.

as i said there will never be a single disk install of leo.

all the retired hackers who are now working for apple has did a pretty good job of blocking the tight pum pum hole

Uphuck - Great Job.

 

For those of you who thinks you can be better? Go on and make something so that you can comtribute to the community. Else, its not profit-making business here. Its knowledge sharing!!! Don't expect things to be there. If you need it badly, may I just suggest you to just get a Mac hardware and run Leo!
