For some of the people using a DESKTOP GMA950:

I have a set of kexts, you can safely install using Kexthelper or by hand,

it's the vanilla kexts for the GMA950 desktop on 10.5.3 and the AppleIntegratedFramebuffer from 10.4.8.

This combination has always given me full QE/CI support with working resolution change.

Hello,

Do you think it will works with an asus P5GC-MX ?

Does the command line is to replace and chmod to root:wheel ?

Best regards,

Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.4

Intel 950 GMA with 10.5.2 Framebuffer kext

Highest Resolution: 1280x800

System Profiler Information

Vendor: Intel (0x8086)

Device ID: 0x27a2

Revision ID: 0x0003

Core Image: Hardware Accelerated

Quartz Extreme: Supported

QuartzGL: Supported

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can change resolutions fine. I have random mouse artifacts usually when doing something with text (like renaming a file or editing text in photoshop). Recently I even had a big graphics glitch whenever I opened up the root of my HDD (buttons were all corrupted, text garbled, everything unreadable).
I'm looking for a fix to get rid of the mouse artifacts, and I'm looking to know what Nati and AGPGart is and if they can do anything to my graphics card.
hi.. i installed leo4all on my acer aspire 4715z, i did not have any problems with installation. It rebooted and played the welcome movie then the welcome screen appeared, so i answered it up to the window that has the "do you already own a mac" screen..i chose do not transfer then after i click continue it went back playing again the welcome movie. it does that over and over, so i downloaded kaly and again i installed with no problem, but same outcome. is there something wrong with my laptop? help please...i've been trying to figure this out for more than two weeks now. i have a hp 6710b laptop and the x3100 in it was automaticly detected after installing kalyway 10.5.2
did not install any kexts. just worked natively. updated then with 10.5.3 kalycombo and then 10.5.4 via updater.
all still works fine.
i tried charles extensions, artifacts are almost gone, but now i cannot see video in frontrow, neither movies, dvds or trailers...
weird...
if i play them in quicktime its ok, but not through frontrow, anyone knows why?
ok, it was because i lost quartz, i reinstalled 10.5.3 gma950 extensions and now its back, but i have artifacts again, jajajaja.
so, which framebuffer i have to use?
Hi, sorry for my poor english...
I had only the 1024x768 resolution.
I have installed charles extensions, but I lost QE.
Than I have extract with Pacifist the GMA950 kext from the Kalyway update 10.5.3.
With KextHelper I have reinstalled and all works fine.
I don't have artifacts at this moment.
And the change of the resolution works fine.
I use a 42" LG @ 1920x1080 60MHz.
My hardware is the signature
Thanks CHARLES!
I have Vaio VGN-C240E, w/Intel 945 Integrated video,
Installed Kalyway 10.5.2/w gma950, worked on external monitor, and internal(if external was connected while boot, then disconnected). Both displays appeared in mac system info. Was able to set 1280x1024x32 on external (syncmaster tft) and 1280x800x32 on internal lcd. Unstable behavior.
Then after installing 10.5.3 combo update + 10.5.4 apple update - worked only on external, and it was the only display detected by macos.
No additional drivers installed.
Then added magic string to Boot.plist
<key>device-properties</key>
<string>6d0000000100000001000000610000000200000002010c00d041030a00000000010106000002
(no line breaks), tnx to amuroray (of Netkas forum)
Had this situation (lcd+external, lcd, external)
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...st&id=23285
and Natit.kext ( http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?s=&...st&p=501584 )
Didn't delete any kexts (including framebuffer etc)
Now have only internal lcd fully accelerated working but w/ 1280x768x32.
Have blank space at the botton (1280x32).
If connect external display, have this again
http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...st&id=23285
Any chance to make it fully working?
I have kalyway 10.5.2 updated to 10.5.4 on an HP dv9500t with an Intel X3100. I installed the Intel X3100 drivers from the Kalyway install disk and it works at full resolution (1680x1050) but QE/CI is not enabled and the cursor is garbled, it is split into two pieces about 1" apart horizontally and separated into short horizontal lines spaced about 1/16' vertically (I will attach a screenshot soon). I am not worried about the cursor as it still functions and I have gotten used to it but I would really like to get QE/CI working and paulicat's first X3100 natit.kext did not work. Can anyone help me get it working?
Here is the infro from the System Profiler:
Intel GMA X3100:
Chipset Model: GMA X3100
Type: Display
Bus: Built-In
VRAM (Total): 144 MB
Vendor: Intel (0x8086)
Device ID: 0x2a02
Revision ID: 0x000c
Displays:
Display:
Resolution: 1680 x 1050
Depth: 32-bit Color
Built-In: Yes
Core Image: Software
Main Display: Yes
Mirror: Off
Online: Yes
Quartz Extreme: Not Supported
Display Connector:
Status: No display connected
EDIT: Added picture and system info.
Update: I managed to fix both problems in one fell swoop, I reinstalled the Leopard Graphics Update using Pacifist, deleted all the GMA950 .kext and .bundle files as well as AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext (or whatever its called), then used the Natit.kext from mitro (not sure if that actually mattered but it works so I'm not complaining).
If anybody has this problem now you can fix it!
Hope this helps the few of you out there.. It's been tested on a DELL GX620.
Please let me know if you find any problems.
Edit: Make sure you are not loading the Natit.kext when trying this solution, as this was giving me problems. The assumption here is you are running 10.5.3 with support for GMA950 from Kalyway update 10.5.3/ no resolution change possible.
@Yang Yang Yang: This should be a possible solution to your problem, as I'm assuming you're a desktop user.. (0x2772 should be right..) Let me know whether it worked?
Thank you. This solved my problem! Motherboard Asrock Conroe-1333 D667. Video:
Hi, I have an Zepto 3215W Laptop with Intel GMA X3100. I downloaded the Natit.kext and Installed it with that kexthelper. It said "Prey and reboot" but after the reboot I still cant change resolution. It's only 1024x768 but I need 1280x800.
I dont understand much about that framebuffer thing. Please could someone step by step tell me what to do? I have Leo4AllV2
