solaar
As for VSTi I double the Minimoog but I have to mention Battery 3 and Lounge Lizard 3 as those are the two I use the most. VST fx - I don't finish any project without having plugged in the Sonalksis compressor at least once Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64306-whats-yours-favorite-vst/#findComment-456047 Share on other sites

XeroGlitch
^ Except for Vanguard My fave though is Z3TA+ Now that i'm trying to use Logic more, i dont have it. I have to try FXpansions vst to au wrapper. Also Battery 3 ( maybe Ultrabeat will take it's place ). Sculpture sounds really good. First impressions was like Whoa at the quality of sound. Slip
Do you have any experience with " csounds " ? Theres a OSX package. It might be too intense for the beat crowd / short attention span , but it seems impressive so far and is used professionally. I just started looking at it. fwappy
The URS dynamics and EQ plug-ins have been an integral part of shaping more "natural" sounding waveforms for me. So smooth. And the compressors can really give you that apparent squashing when you want it. Azurael
I've started liking a lot of things like the 'Best Service' series of Kontakt-based samplers. Funny, because I always used to be pretty much a 100%-synth fan Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64306-whats-yours-favorite-vst/#findComment-536354 Share on other sites

untitled1100
hmm i think either ReFX Vanguard or Linplug Octopus. Come to think of it, I think Octopus takes it away as its more versatile in my opinion i really wanna get nexus, apparently thats amazing Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64306-whats-yours-favorite-vst/#findComment-542422 Share on other sites

macita
I own real analog and good emus like Super Jupiter, Virus TI Waldorf Q+.... About analog emulation: all vsti/au/rtas are suuuxors..... cant compare to real analog ....but.... i found that the imposcar and oddity sounds so good... I like also the spectrasonic atmosphere and trilogy, i cant stay without my samplers (Vienna collection roox) and kontakt About digital synths they all are ok... Korg collection is amazing, (but i still pref the convertors of my real wavestation A/D) and i like also the Rapture and uhe Zebra synths FOr drums i like BFD and the logic drum machine...complex to use but wonderfull! In the end i bought NEXUS and i sold some my hardware.... nexus is a very nice rompler, the quality of the sounds are so amazing! Arab the Stab
Native Instruments Battery for the drums, It really kicks. As a simple synth I really dig Rob Papens Albino ( http://www.robpapen.com/synths/albino/ ) I just like the preset patches. Mostly i just go for the presets when using synthesis. Too lazy to actually learn how to use them properly Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64306-whats-yours-favorite-vst/#findComment-567801 Share on other sites
mc_m00
Definitely Stylus RMX, and Absynth. Can't live without either. QuadraSID is fun too. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/64306-whats-yours-favorite-vst/#findComment-584724 Share on other sites
