It will be very interesting to see if this gets exploited, and/if it will patched being that is truly is a good tech support work around, and pretty much would require a "hands on" approach/physical access to the machine.

 

Anyway, i just thought it was interesting. Comments welcome......

well not exactly a recently discovered hack, seeing as it's been around forever.

But now that I found a lab of G5 and G4 PowerMacs at my college, I think I'll set-up my own little account on one of them, just so I can feel at home.

You can do this in a way on a Windows XP Home Edition computer. If the person who owns the computer isn't technically inclined that is. Reboot in safe mode and click on admin. The admin account on windows has no password unless you set one. And most people don't even know it exists.
