You made the right decision, Steve. EDIT: It appears Dell has taken the site down and replaced it with their original. A.I.D.S aahaaaahhah The OS is still made by Apple, hardware isn't really the issue. Dell doesn't have to have their own Mac configurations, just a plan reseller of the models Apple provides. The state of the Apple Stores in the chains I have seen, and the sales people that work them are terrible. I have to believe this is really having an adverse effect on possible Mac sales and just helps to propagate many of the false statements and rhetoric you hear about Macs in most computer retailers. mac.nub Posted April 12, 2007 Share Posted April 12, 2007 Too many Dell bashers here My previous Dell (base unit, before I built my new one recently) is over 4 years old, and still working great ... never had any problems with it! P4 2.2 Ghz, 1GB Ram, 80GB hd etc. didn't really want much more than that til recently. My laptop, hmm i've had a few problems with... but nothing to get worried about, and their support has always been excellent. Seriously have any of you even owned a Dell?
