If you want a feature, we'll do what we can to give it to you. Several months ago we had to modify the editing privileges due to abuse by some members. The majority of other members, though, spoke out and said it was a feature they wanted. So we're bringing it back. Plus some. Now you can... * Edit your own posts, no matter how old they are. * Remove the 'Edited by' legend. * Delete your own posts. * Edit your own topic title & description. We hope this will make things easier for you! As Peter Parker was warned, with great power comes great responsibility. Please respect others when using these privileges. Mebster Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 I have to say when I saw the topic title "EDIT is back!" right above "Recent staff changes...", the first thing that came to my head was "Who on earth is EDIT and when did he leave?" On a serious side the bringing back of EDIT after most of us wished it was brought back, does show that we as a community matter. The fact that our concerns were even discussed was a great start (just look at the "This post has been edited by AcePlayer - Get rid!" and "Edit button missing"). But then to take that and process it and come up with the conclusion that I was right all along is simply just obvious.... [evil side kicking in]. Swad and everyone else who decided to at the end bring it back, thanks. No we no our feedback does not go in vain. Also makes me more willing to pursue a cause knowing that there actually is a chance something will be done. EDIT: :) Already used it within a minute of posting this. Only people who don't want to have the edit line appear should then have to manually untick it. Think that makes more sense. I mean otherwise who is ever going to want to use it and actually go out their way to tick it? erbic Posted March 22, 2007 Share Posted March 22, 2007 Nice. I was kind of annoyed when the unlimited edit/delete/ability to stop the Edited By message disappeared, but now it's back. Hail Swad! There's a forum I frequent where you only get 15 minutes to edit a post, and you're forced to leave the Edited By msg in there. Annoying as hell, especially when you realize 16 minutes after a post that you forgot something. Ninja edit. Muahahaha.
