In order for a company to place hardware in a macbook (pro) case it would need to design it's own hardware to the case's spec's which is nearly impossible. It would then need to create a battery to fit in the macbook battery slot, again nearly impossible, very expensive.

 

That would be a lawsuit waiting to happen, they don't exist.

I've heard that Newegg sells cases that look similar but then you would need to buy the hardware

I can confirm that. I saw the case like the Mac Pro/PowerMac G5 on NewEgg. It's an ATX case, so you can get that case and fill it with compatible parts for a cheap Mac Pro.

msi makes some barebones notebooks that look like macbooks..

 

for 1099 you can get a refurb macbook core2.. that's a pretty good deal
