About 2 months ago I purchased my new MacBook Pro, and my brother bought a iMac.

So about 2 weeks ago the keybourd on my brothers iMac just gave up, so I called Apple.

I explained to them I had a problem with the keybord, they took my info, and shipped a new keybord.

The reason I was so imprest by Apple, is that I recived the new keybord 1 1/2 day after my call , If that's not good costomer service I don't know what is.

My Macbook took 52 days. And when it was returned, it didn't work.

Great service.

:D

The posties were probably playing with it in transit! then they spilt beer on it, attempted to clear the mess up and it didn't work

In-terms of customer support, unless there is internal disorganization, postal delays or items being out of stock, there should be no excuse for it to take more than 2 days to deliver.

And one thing that I love about them (well, their retail stores... can't say for phone support) is that they actually LISTEN to you. I'm extremely good with computers. If I have to go to the genius bar, I know exactly what the problem is and what needs to be repaired.

At no other store can I talk techie to them and have them believe me. Ususally, tech guys don't believe you, or think they know better. But at the Apple Store, not only can you bounce ideas off of eachother, you can talk to them and they'll LISTEN!!!

Thanks, Apple!

Heh. My experiences are the exact opposite Urby. The guys at the store insist they know my machine better than I do, despite the fact they've only been aware of the problem for 2 minutes. The guys on the phone don't have many options since they don't actually have the machine in front of them.

haahhah, yea, and most of them on the phone have a list of {censored} they make you do then go 'i dont know the problem'

Let's see... I had a IIci, LC II, LC475, Quadra 900, Quadra 650, PowerPC7100, PowerPC G3 and now I have a iBook G4 which gets beaten up everyday for almost 2 years. I also had some gadgets like a Newton 2000, original iPod, iPod 3G...

The thing is that I don't even know where the local Apple service centre is.

Cheers

Kenneth
