james2mart
I do not mean to minimize what you guys are doing here, but I have been waiting patiently on this for months since I installed OSx86. I gave up. I'm sorry If any of the rest of you are about to give up, its seriously a $16 fix. Buy the dell truemobile 1490. AUTOMATICALLY DETECTED as airport, and it works GREAT. I'm kicking myself for not doing this sooner. Best of luck, jalavoui. If you send me your address, I will ship you the 3945 card FOR FREE if a few people chip in on the shipping. yidakee
OI !! Don't !! It's a 16$ fix... but what about the joy and glory of the conquest ?!?! What about the ultimate goal of self achievement and satisfaction ? I am not a developer, but I can see, probably half the planet away, the IMENSE effort from jalavoui. Only for self satisfaction! If he does it, he breaks a barrier! I've been here since 3 weeks ago... basically leeched on two years of collective efforts... My Video card only became "native" with natit like what... January? I am only waiting for wireless so I dont have to switch harddrive every 5 minutes on my lappy, you dont think I dont want wifi ?! I am in dire need on a full blown working macbook... Got the specs, got the mojo, no aeroplane to fly though. I am here patiently waiting. I dont want to start a fight, or {censored} anyone off... but get the :censored2: out if you are pissed, lost your will to believe, dont have any encouraging words etc etc... 97 pages of the man putting up with us, gzillions logs, millions of noobs (moi included) coming in wining... zillions of uber-noobs who just are soooo boring and mess the workflow... The man is programing in the BLIND ! .!. respect. vmark
While I have the utmost respect for what the developers are doing, I also am able to see the logic of going with this alternate route if one is desperate for connectivity now. You have to give credit to the previous poster, for not only did he speak highly of the developers, he also offered up his 3945 card for free so that development could be fast-tracked. And while I easily see your point of view (as a programmer myself I know the frustation and the joy that come from a challenge such as this) I don't think he deserves the kind of derision you were replying with. He does seem to have respect for the developers, perhaps just not the patience. Mark Peace. Hi all, Me neither want to continue a fight, but I think as the web is free, anybody can do and say whatever he wants. So I think both sides are respectable and no one deserves any kind of insults here, this is not a young men chat forum. And he is not only doing it for pure satisfaction, but he doesn't care what others may think or say. Also, after 96 pages of great work it not necessary any opinion against that. Excuse my english.
