I encountered the same issue, but I was able to resolve it by holding Option + Shift + Command + R on the screen that was stuck after logging in.

I tried a Tahoe install with the Z390 and a hard drive. (I have a few lying around. Spinning disks!). Besides being kinda slow, it didn't go too well. I got the installer on the drive but it seemed to be crash prone. I put the drive into my other system and it completed the installer the first time. I think the Z390 could be made to work better with more effort but the hard drive just makes things slower.

Successful delta update from Beta5_25A5327h to Beta6_25A5338b on my Skylake NUC6i5SYH.     
Still the same settings and kexts, no problems during the upgrade process...

Restoration of AppleHDA, keeping new Tahoe Beta6 icons
1) Start with a clean slate - delete and reinstall Kernel_Debug_Kit_26.0_build_25A5279m

• sudo rm -R /Library/Developer/KDKs/KDK_26.0_25A5279m.kdk
• re-install Kernel_Debug_Kit_26.0_build_25A5279m

2) Replace B1 KDK's IOStorageFamily.kext's Resources folder with B6 version in /S/L/E

sudo mv /Library/Developer/KDKs/KDK_26.0_25A5279m.kdk/System/Library/Extensions/IOStorageFamily.kext/Contents/Resources /Library/Developer/KDKs/KDK_26.0_25A5279m.kdk/System/Library/Extensions/IOStorageFamily.kext/Contents/Resources_B1 
Password:
sudo cp -R /System/Library/Extensions/IOStorageFamily.kext/Contents/Resources /Library/Developer/KDKs/KDK_26.0_25A5279m.kdk/System/Library/Extensions/IOStorageFamily.kext/Contents

3) Install B1 AppleHDA.kext with MKI or Simple loader, then reboot....

macOS 26 Tahoe beta 6. Patched appleHDA.kext with MyKextInstaller 1.2. Fatal error in Hackintool in the "SOUND" section. Is there a way to fix this? I know the creator of the application has stopped supporting this great utility, but there is "Hackintool-On-AppleSilicon" which can be compiled and adapted. Any solution to the issue?

It seems I'm not alone with this issue when I update macOS Tahoe on my Z390 machine with HDD.  Google Search has found this stuck on login screen, on real Mac.

System with AppleHDA replaced by MyKextInstaller. Integrated audio back. Hackintool works fine with no errors. Even Hackintool-On-AppleSilicon works too, built by me with Xcode on Tahoe. But I don't see any significant changes between this version and the original other than the ability to run on Intel and Silicon.

Maybe it has to do with something on your system. Delete Hackintool.app and its related files and reinstall it.

I thought it could be my personal translation of the application into Spanish and therefore I downloaded the official version offered by the creator of the application and it continues to close but only if you position the mouse where the devices are represented in the other sections it does not close

Hi Chriss, your script only works on Tahoe's main HD on my hack. The other HDs still have an old icon is it possible to edit them too?

Don't be fooled by the photo where everyone has the new icon, as I said only Tahoe in my case took the new icon for the others I simply made the change from ... get info, brought the new icon !!!! Anyway it worked. ah I have T26.3

FYI,

 

There is an update to future OCLP legacy patcher support for Tahoe from GitHub and dortania.  Can’t post the link but the gist is that there will be support for graphics for many integrated graphics including Haswell.  The post is 1167 at the site if that helps.  Timeline is winter 2025.

You misunderstand your posting privileges on this forum - privileges that can be revoked just a quickly as they were granted.  We are guests here in InsanelyMac's house.  As guests, we are in no position to make demands of InsanelyMac, its supervisors and its administrators.  As one who has had posts deleted, moved and edited by administrators, I assure you that the admins were always operating in the best interest of this forum.

Hm, your system specs say you have a dedicated video card as well. Can you confirm if your monitor is connected to the motherboard’s video output when you tested?

I agree it is better to root patch Tahoe B6 using the matching B6 KDK (with B1 AppleHDA) now that it is available.  This already has the updated IOStorageFamily.kext with the new disk icons so don't have to do extra steps if you want the new icons...
