On my Skylake NUC6i5SYH with only integrated graphics (Intel Iris Plus 540), I need root patched AppleHDA.kext to have functioning Intel HDMI output.  VoodooHDA.kext restores my Realtek ALC283 audio codec (headphone output) but unfortunately not Intel HDMI.

Just to confirm, when you mention "Intel HDMI output", do you mean audio over HDMI?

When I decided to try and install Tahoe on a brand new SSD I went the public beta route due to my worry over limited graphic capability.  As you know I was able to install beta 1 successfully but with limited screen graphics.

Today I attempted to install Beta 3 and this went fine.  I had to force reboot to load all the screen elements I was capable of.  This was also successful.  I now can see what the three balloons represent on the upper left of the screen.  Still of course very very slow graphic wise but I am pleased.

Cheers, Howard

J'utilise le même dossier EFI pour Ventura, Sequoia et Tahoe. Pour le son, j'utilise une carte son USB.

Same here, 1 EFI for windows + Linux + MacOS Monterey, Ventura, Sonoma, Sequoia and Tahoe.

Sound via USB Ugreen CM477 , just perfect sound for MacOs, Linux and Windows.I found sound better under MacOs, Windows have poor sound.

Monitors are an other story:

I can boost the Sequoia, Ventura, and Monterey with this EFI, just by switching SBM from disabled to default. But I can't boost the Tahoe even with WEG disabled. ...if anyone has the patience and any ideas to help, I'd appreciate it!

config.zip

@MacWill,

1. In the ACPI → Add section of OpenCore’s config, file names are case-sensitive - the Path entry must exactly match the .aml file name (including uppercase and lowercase), otherwise the table won’t load. That is, it should be DMAR.aml

In this config, custom DMAR Table loading is disabled, but ignorance or misunderstanding of this requirement is demonstrated.

2. If you add entries under ACPI → Add, you should also configure corresponding entries under ACPI → Delete when disabling or replacing original tables.

3. In section DeviceRroperties —> Add, all entries can (and preferably should) be deleted. None of the entries describe the properties or operating parameters of the devices, and they are all completely useless.

4. Incorrect order of kexts in section Kernel —> Add. WhateverGreen.kext should be right after VirtualSMC.kext

5. macOS Tahoe may require different quirk settings and this cannot be combined in one config.plist for other macOS versions.

@MacWill,

in addition to what @verdazil said, check also if you've:

1. Updated all kexts.

2. Mapped USBs correctly for Tahoe. (There's a explanation how to do it somewhere here in this thread).

3. Try booting with minimal kexts (like only Lilu and VitrualSMC)

and if it boots - then start adding kexts and see where things break.

Good Luck!

Two personal records within not even one day due to my marriage and vacations 😅

1.) Two sequential updates within 12 hours 💫

2.) Tahoe DP 6 has been the only beta I used for less than 12 hours  🙃

Welcome Tahoe DP 7 🤗

I haven't even gotten used to Beta 6 yet, and here comes Beta 7!
Now all I can do is wait for the direct download link to be released!
On my next clean install with Beta 7, I will NOT try to use Migration Assistant. I give up! I have no powers.

Done!!! :thumbsup_anim:

Now in the middle of fixing Audio.

Don't like the fact having to do this every Update.

Must be an easier way to avoid this.

Audio back to normal!!!

Let's rock that bass again. :lol:

@eSaF

How is your Hackintosh connected to the monitor, HDMI or DisplayPort?
