BIOS + GPT , Clover works fine here with i5-4590, you may try it.

EFI.rar 4.93 MB · 9 downloads

Thank you, I tried it but I am stuck at the famous EB LOG EXITBS:START in verbose mode of Clover, what I need to change to load Tahoe?

Please, is this occurrence I quoted above happening with anyone's Hackintosh?

This is a problem I rarely encountered until Beta 6. I haven't encountered it yet in Beta 7. I believe the problem is related to Rx500 series cards. In rare cases, the error starts in the graphics card recognition line (after the pink lines). A reboot is required.

you don't need to use Clover, just replace some kext with OC. it may work.

In my case, I tried that option too, but only changing USBMap.kext but mouse and keyboard doesn´t work again.
I have updated OC EFI folder, but in Tahoe USB ports changed a lot.

To overcome this problem, start with an EFI Folder for a 7,1 Pro SmBIOS Mac model with minimum kexts in folder and WEG.kext disabled.

This 7,1 Folder will complete the installation right up to the Welcome Screen.

At the Welcome Screen force a hard reboot with your regular/normal EFI Folder in place and boot off it.

You will again be booted up to the Welcome Screen where you can carry on with registration and onto the Desktop.

This is how I have to do Updates and clean install Tahoe. The crazy part is WEG.kext enabled will not allow initial Updates or clean Installs with RX4xx or RX5xx in line but will run once they are completed.

I am sure I read somewhere the Devs are aware of this situation and are working on a fix.

RX 460 is the same as this situation and the same solution.

And Clover, OC both work here.

So, my step is.

After startosinstall

first reboot, OC without WhateverGreen.kext

second reboot, OC without WhateverGreen.kext

final reboot to system setting process and desk, Clover with APFS.efi and WhateverGreen.kext,

then OC with WhateverGreen.kext, works fine here.👍

@Renard45 The only way to use an NVidia GT 720 (or any NVidia card that was once supported by macOS) is to patch newer versions of macOS with Open Core Legacy Patcher (OCLP).  OCLP is not yet available for macOS Tahoe at the time of this post.  Have you tested your video card in macOS Sequoia with OCLP 2.4.0?  If you have questions about OCLP, post them in this thread.

May be try this for nVidia, when I patching intel wi-fi as fake native BRCM wifi, as I did in Sequoia, OLCP did not find the folder 13.7.2-25. (for 25 kernel?) PatcherSupportPkg  does not have such a folder. Maybe for nvidia it is not required.

@strangeron
That's exactly what I'm thinking. Thank you very much for your response.

@Vasya Katanyan I've attempted several custom builds from OCLP 3.0.0 Source with my own mods to PatcherSupportPkg, but none of my attempts worked for NVidia Tesla. I'm patiently waiting for the OCLP Devs. Until then, NVidia works fine in Big Sur through Sequoia.

Always Young @eSaF
In my case, the installation went smoothly (WG was always disabled).
The issue I described in the post @strangeron mentioned occurs after the installation is successful and everything is working. It doesn't happen immediately.
It doesn't happen often. For example, I just turned on my Hackintosh and it booted normally.
Thank you for your continued attention.

So I tried to use MA to bring over a sequoia time machine backup to Tahoe public beta 3.  I created the backup without any patches for graphics as suggested in an earlier post.  Initially everything seemed to go ok.  The restore completed and I was prompted to reboot.  That’s where the problem started.  I got to an introductory screen ready to log in when I got a MA pop up screen prompting me to reboot again to complete the restore.  This turns out to a loop that I can’t get out of.  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be the problem?

Cheers, Howard

Up to and including Sonama I used Mounty + macfuse + ntfs-3g-mac to read / write NTFS partitions, from Sequoia this no longer works. What do you use to do this in Tahoe?

Tuxera NTFS works.

Thanks i will try it tomorrow, but at bottom of page I've read

Supported Operating Systems
macOS Sonoma 14 ~ macOS High Sierra 10.13

@Anto65  My Windows are installed on NTFS partition of course, I don't understand your Exfat proposal. And yes I can work with external USB devices but this was not my query.

It definitely works in Sequoia, I haven’t checked it in Tahoe.

Guys, why we're talking about monterey, sonoma and sequoia in tohae topic? If for some reason you need to bring the discussion back about the older operating systems, please do it via pm or move it to the dedicated topics.
Let's try to keep this topic as clean as possible.

Sequoia 15.6.1  has been released with the two methods I still have to download the full installer and not only the 15.6.1 update I really don't understand my issue....

For Tahoe beta boot normaly now but still have black screen with mouse cursor and stuck there.. I have usb ports working now but still have black screen with mouse cursor...

for Nvidia support on Tahoe there is this patch for some Nvidia cards: https://github.com/skyscope-sentinel/Skyscope-macOS-Patcher-main

Can someone check my EFI folder please

EFI.zip 6.26 MB · 1 download

I tried installing this patch Tahoe_NVIDIA_Root_Patch.pkg in Beta 7 (Developer) on my late 2013 iMac (27-inch) with an nVidia GeForce Kepler base.
I keep getting the same error (see screenshot).

I've already installed the latest Python build available for macOS. If this patch works, is it possible to enable full graphics acceleration in Tahoe Beta 7?

Thanks for your help with this.

Best regards, Alfredo
