[Release] macOS Sonoma 14

Installed fine here as well on my x299 rig with Clover 5055.

I am getting random fails on connecting to my network SMB shares ( won't authorize )  then 5 minutes later it works. I'll keep an eye on that.

There also seems to be an issue with wallpapers (my own.) I have two monitors connected and have always had random (different) photos shuffling on each every 5 minutes. It no longer works unless I enable "Displays have separate spaces" which I don't want, minor issue though, I've already logged that with Apple.

A reminder for anyone using an Aquantia network card, the patch for the 107 changed in Sonoma;

Name  com.apple.driver.AppleEthernetAquantiaAqtion

Find   0F845003 0000   (used to be 0F844503 0000)

Replace  660F1F44 0000

Thanks to the fine folks over here for that one:

Upgrade went fine from Ventura 13.6 to Sonoma 14.0_23A344 on my Skylake NUC6i5SYH using OC 0.9.5 and running the full installer app...

Downloaded the full installer app with terminal, using the command

softwareupdate --fetch-full-installer --full-installer-version 14.0

Strangely the command softwareupdate --list-full-installers did not list Sonoma 14.0 as being available 🤷‍♂️

Hello, were you able to update directly using iMac Pro SMBIOS or have you changed it to any other compatible then reverted the change?
I usually use this SMBIOS but needed to change to iMac19,1 to be able to install the update.

Thank you.

I was able to update with iMacPro1,1 without issues. No SMBIOS changes were necessary from Ventura.

I upgraded Ventura 13.6 to Sonoma (test drive) on my Coconut rig (iMacPro1,1) and everything works perfect except the Wi-Fi. Airportitlwm Preview 5 not working for me. Hope there will be a fix since it's wokring great in Ventura 13.6 (version 2.3.0).

Updated on X99 ImacPro1.1, for the moment only the Aquantia XG-C100F network card does not work.

Is there a new patch?

With macOS ventura I used the patch (Find 81F9B107 0000 Replace 81F9B100 0000) but now it doesn't work.

any help?

No need to change SMBIOS at all:

Thank you. Here it found the update, started but said it wasn't compatible or able to install.

Changed the SMBIOS to iMac19,1 and it went smoothly.

I haven't been paying attention to the news so I found out fast on my Dell Latitude 7390 that Broadcom wifi is gone. I had a spare Intel 8260NGW sitting around so I swapped it and loaded up Preview 5 (I'm sure this is the same version you tried) and it seems to work, though it's run into a random disconnect only once. I'm sure it will improve but I'll see how this goes

I have this problem only on my Coconut rig and Intel AX211 under Sonoma. As I stated it works great in Ventura.

On my StudioHack Intel AX210 works without any problems in Sonoma with Airportitlwm Preview 5, as well as my laptop with Intel 9560NGW (both Wi-FI and BT) in Sonoma.

BCM cards doesn't work OOB anymore but there's a workaround already commented here in this forum.
