Hi guys,
Finally today I was able to solve my sound and bluetooth issues and now macOS Monterey is working as it should, the only annoyance that I have yet is the return of the slow boot, and the presence of an Untitled disk icon (My widows 10 SSD) in the desktop, anyone knows how to solve any of this annoyances?
I think macOS Monterey views my Windows SSD as an external disk, instead of internal...
Thanks

It is Untitled, but is good to know that are ways to correct that, currently it almost don't annoy me much... LOL

@eSaF

It must be macOS beta weirdness all the way then... LOL

Thanks

try this
open the terminal and paste      sudo nano / etc / fstab       enter and type the password
then paste           LABEL=Untitled none ntfs rw,noauto   ( replace Untitled  with your
e.g    .... Windows11 )

CTRL + X    then Y    to save and enter

it worked for me

Guys - Hate to be a killjoy but don't forget Monterey is at it's first Beta, I don't know how much of it is based on BS and even that is still in Beta stage so don't expect too much of all things working as expected. Until a few more Beta releases and the OC Devs get a grip of things, we will encounter quite a few anomalies on the way. :graduated:

Since there are no big architecture changes on the OS anymore, things are expected to be less chaotic - which are proven to be true, moving from BS to Monterey Cheese was similar to a Sierra to High Sierra days. Yet, yes, a few things are expected to go sideways because that's what Beta code does :)

If you want to get rid of the external disk icon, uncheck "Discos externos". Probably because your SATA controller is not known as an Apple approved one, your internal disk is detected as external, and therefore shown whenever external disks is checked to be shown on the desktop.

You can always rename your Windows disk while you are running Windows: Beginning with Windows 95, open a Windows Explorer window, then right-click on the drive you want to rename and select "Rename". Now just type in the new name you want for your hard drive and hit enter. If Windows 8 or newer, a popup will appear informing you that this action requires administrator privileges. Click "Continue" to apply your name change. The new name will be reflected the next time you mount this volume on macOS.

Good alternative for the previous solution.

Thanks. Yeah, I just read so many others saying the straight upgrade worked for them that I thought I might as well try, lol.

Aside from the long as heck boot, it works well.

Can someone check my bootlog and maybe tell me if something is off?

you have ACPI errors caused by battery, ATKD touchpad

advice
update the kext

I did that and no more Untitled, but without external disks marked I no longer get usb installers to show when a USB installer is plugged in...

I think you are right it must be because of the SATA controller, but it only happens in macOS Monterey, in BS this didn't happen...

Thank you for the info when I boot windows I rename my Untitled disk...

Saudações portuguesas @Alex HQuest...

In all honesty for a pre release, Alpha, beta or what ever you wanna call it Monterey has been pretty stable for me. Slow boot fixed with auto login enable, not secure but hopefully updates will fix that and hackintool will not load for me. Those are my only 2 issues. Speedstep, Graphics, sound, Ethernet, wifi and Bluetooth all work.

GRRRRRR... lost bluetooth again...

Has anyone ever seen a thing like this? ie after lunch i had bluetooth after that i left the hack on and when i returned home i no longer had bluetooth.
I turned on the hackintool and verified that the entries in the ethernet and bluetooth folder had changed order by themselves and in the list of ports the port of my Fenvi T 919 is not present for this reason I created a new USBmap.kext and still without bluetooth.
As you can see in the photos below everything I've just described, can someone help me with this before I pull out the rest of my hair?
Thanks

@MorenoAv did your system went sleep/hibernate? I recall this happening in my laptop with early Brcm patches and my DW1830 card, although I never experienced it with my real iMac wireless adapter.

turn off the hack and disconnect the power supply from the mains for 5 minutes, you will see that the bluetooth returns to you when you turn it back on

WiFi and BT are working, sound is working, boot and reboot takes a bit too long. Had to remove FakePCIID.kext so Ethernet is not working.  I was getting reboots after every 10 min. of use. If I remove FakePCIID_Intel_I225-V I get an instant crash after boot.

Tried to apply I225-V patch but it didn't work.

For ASUS P5Q PRO MB (LGA 775) hackintoshs which need EFI (legacy boot) of OpenCore 0.6.8 or Clover 5136 to test Big Sur or Monterey please PM me for sharing.

I have the same smbios however when I try to open the installer it doesn't let me update it...😩

Tried with NVRAM -> boot-args: -no_compat_check

Still nothing

For proper update I have to use iMac19,1 instead of iMac15,1

For example in Gigabyte GA-965P-DS4 (LGA 775)

@jsl2000 how well do the GT710 and GT730 cards perform for you in Monterey? I'm thinking about upgrading my X79 but with the graphics card shortage these are pretty much the only card options available. I would have preferred getting a Radeon of some kind.

According to my experience and testing with other GPUs GT710/GT730 performs around IGPU HD4000.

IGPU HD4600 is better than these 2.

My advice is RX560, RX570 or RX580 perform much better and can be used until Mac OS 13 coming.

Finally managed to install it on my Z490 Aorus Xtreme with i9-11900K also, but the GPUs including GTX1060 don't have any acceleration.

Without Nvidia web driver GTX1060 can not get hardware acceleration at 10.14.x or higher !

I want to get a RX560 but it's pretty much impossible right now. Even second-hand. So I'll likely end up having to get a GT710/730. So long as the UI is smooth and not choppy I guess it'll do.
