Hi there,

I have almost the same setup:

Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 pro

Intel i7 8700k cpu

32gb Ram

RX 580 gpu

Wifi card: BCM94360CD pcie

I installed macOS Big Sur using a real Mac to an external SSD and put that in my hack rig.

Using your EFI, I get a restart.  Any ideas on this?.

I installed using external HD as well. This is weird. Place the hard drive inside the PC to see if it works. Maybe he is starting to fail?

It's a new disc, Dell have only one SATA cable, i try sometimes....

é um disco relativamente novo, deixei a note toda pois poderia ser "impaciencia minha" porem não foi, de fato ele não consegue chegar a seleção final, você usou portas 3.1 ou 2.0?

Weird. Your Optiplex is the "m" version? (3020m)? The normal 3020 version have 2 SATA ports.

I don't remember now, but I think I used USB 3.0.

Followed it and the Quick Look command doesn't allow the "Open" tab to turn blue.   results in this error.

Just remember to do NOT use sudo when you create the physical disk link

Thanks I’ll try it.
You mean this part?   After inserting disk.

it would be interesting to see if it can be done.

Thanks

But why? The result will be the same.

The main issue is the OpenCore misconfigured. Some Catalina EFI work's without modification, and some need to be fine-tuned.

There's no mystery.

- Grab a fully working (and stable) OpenCore EFI.

- Add the NVRAM flags (in the guide)

- Build OC from sources (Kexts, Drivers, etc)

- And done.

Personally I have already updated 6 different computers and had no problems with any of them (except for problems with Wifi that were discontinued). Precisely because they already had OpenCore working perfectly with Catalina.

What I've seen is a lot of people (I'm not saying it's you) who were still using Clover and want to jump straight to Big Sur (which has a more complex installation) without even having migrated to OpenCore before.

Anyway, I can even make a version for VirtualBox (although I see no difference), but I will only get it at the weekend.

The main reason, VirtualBox is open-source :)

You have to follow this guide: https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Desktop-Guide/

hello ,

so is this well work or no

I did make clone my OS macOS 10.15.5 from M.2 4TB  to ssd 2TB

then I upgrade the macOS 10.15.5 from  my friend Mac laptop to 11.0 beta

also mound the EFI and I add the file OpenCore

I change config to

	<dict>
		<key>Add</key>
		<dict>
			<key>4D1EDE05-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B38C14</key>
			<dict>
				<key>DefaultBackgroundColor</key>
				<data>AAAAAA==</data>

Hi @ludufre what is the trick to get audio to work? My older motherboard Asus z270 also has alc1220 or some variant but the internal audio isn't recognized. I have added alcid=1 to boot args nothing, which works in Catalina. I added device property entry and also nothing. By the way, auto sleep is broken but works if done form the apple menu. Thanks
