texem
@MorenoAv ok. Then next step i would try is using the NDKBootpicker together with your working original OC . MorenoAv
Yep that is the next step... lets see how that works, although the first time it didn't work too, but I'm persistent and sooner or latter I'll make it work... In order to improve the boot selection interface, I was able to successfully install ndkbootpicker. still to configure to run in 4K. There is also a problem recovering the Windows boot that is installed on another SSD. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/339980-audiogods-aorus-z390-pro-patched-dsdt-mini-guide-and-discussion/page/99/#findComment-2716509 Share on other sites

I followed your guide and got the BIOS settings the same and installed the Designaire Z390 driver. It's showing up in Device Manager, but I can't seem to find the exact place in your picture that shows the firmware version. The best I could find is the Device Manager info... How do you get to the above info panel? Unfortunately, the MBP in target disc mode is not recognized by the Titan Ridge card using the Windows driver either; it is also not recognized using the official Titan Ridge driver as well. The card is reported working properly by Device Manager, and it is showing in Mac System Report, I/O Registry Explorer and Hackintool. However, TB Bridge is not showing the Network Control Panel. I guess I'll have to get a series of FW adapters and test it on my old FW devices. AudioGod
To all the people having problems with windows using NDK OpenCore or Real OpenCore, Myself, @texem @WizeMan @Tiem use OoenCore and @eSaF uses NDK OC as our daily bootloaders With no issues and I spend as much time in Windows as I do in Catalina and there is no problems what so ever with booting in any OS. If your having problems using my EFI then the chances are that there is something wrong with your setup somewhere like for example having your windows and Cat EFIs on the same partition will cause all sorts of problems or trying to reuse your old config.plist in the new EFI also will not work as to much have changed between 0.5.6 and 0.5.7 Same deal with NDK OpenCore. Yes, but when I installed 1.41.648.5, I get almost no feedback... just a few flashes of the CMD windows. It doesn't install the Control Center either. I forgot to look at the Task Tray before I uninstalled it and tried dsynos80's uploaded Designaire Z390 TB driver. Neither of the drivers recognized the MBP target disc. dsynos80
I remember trying to install the .648 drivers and was getting an error. The ones i posted worked for me but AFTER i did the correct settings in bios. Before i set the no security and the gpio forcee power option the card was loosing connection every 10 second or so. Dont know what else to say. MorenoAv
Sometimes hackitoshing is very frustrating, but we persist insist and all is well after sometime. Dont know what else to say. I found a thread at Gigabyte forums (https://forum.gigabyte.us/thread/6193/) that actually answers some of my questions. The Designaire controller is Titan Ridge, so it makes sense the Designaire MB driver works with the PCI card. Athough there is some disagreement whether Titan Ridge is backward compatible with TB2, most agree that TB1 won't work the Titan Ridge controller. My ancient MBP is TB1, so I'll need to test it with something else. jimborae
So tried both Clover & OC EFI and both seem to work with my set up, however I'm going to try downgrading my bios as I just cant get rid of weird reboot, bios post hang issue where it freezes on the bios post screen after restarting. If I shut it off for 10 secs then it's fine posts without issue, so it's either bios setting issue or bios bug or hardware issue. Eitherway it's bloody annoying. 2 hours ago, Project 2501 said: Yes, but when I installed 1.41.648.5, I get almost no feedback... just a few flashes of the CMD windows. Hey buddy, If your going to downgrade the Firmware then make sure you use the correct DSDT to go with it. you can find all the older DSDTs on page one. That is unless your using Original OpenCore and then as it uses no DSDT it doesn’t matter. Hifi33
I have just installed @AudioGod's latest OC EFI and It is working great! Thank you. I have one question though, when I open Hackintool it is asking me if I want to upgrade to OpenCore 0.57 which I assumed I have already done with the latest OC config posted.(?) I tried to reset the nvram (thinking this may be the reason), but with the new OC boot I am only given the option to select operating system in text form (1.) in top left corner of boot screen. I tried to do a (Command-Option-P-R ) but it didn't take on my Logitech keyboard. Is there a way to do the nvram reset, if this is the cause of OC not updating, or am I way off and looking for a problem where there isn't one?
