  1. Thanks for the link to the guide. My audiocodecs.txt and DPCIManager show my codec as ALC1220, within the ALC1220 folder there are several layouts. Each I loaded one by one in Clover configurator Devices; (reboot, try the next one etc.) but none would enable sound in the Line Out (Front) of the back panel. I deleted my AppleALC.kext after exhausting those options just to see if that would make a difference, and redownloaded it into my Other kext folder on my EFI partition. No change. Some would disable Line Out altogether, some other layouts would show three Line Out options so I tried each one, unfortunately the wasn't any sound from the speakers either. Next I plan to boot into windows to verify that the output works and not a problem with the board itself. Interesting problem, as the OS sees them and otherwise all other audio works (Headphones, LG monitor). Update: I now have an option for "internal speakers" in the Sound/Output Pref pane. When I selected that, sound started coming from my speakers... not line out, but sound is there at least in some respect.
  2. I have recently set up a working build thanks to a few threads in this forum, but this is the first time I have used the Line Out to play sound. Sound plays fine through the front panel jack when Headphones is selected in the Sound Preferences, unfortunately neither of my (2) Line Out options in the back send the audio through the speakers. All outputs appear to be working and recognized in the System Info. I can get audio via my (DP) LG monitor Line Out but then I lose any control of the volume from within the OS and keyboard, ie. greyed out. Is this a common issue with a fix? Or is there a setting I can do some trial and error with? Thanks. My Clover/Kexts/Other folder contains Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext.
  3. Thanks, that works a lot better! My speedtest went from 3-5mbps up and down to 130mbps down/180mbps up on 5Ghz. Just noticed in the sys info pane under Network : Wifi : interfaces, the country code shows X0. Not sure if that effects anything, but I think it should be CA for my locale.
  4. Hi, I am quite happy with my new build , as far as I can tell it works the same as my old cMP as far as functionality. I do have this nagging issue with sleep unfortunately. I am not sure if the computer ever goes to sleep, but if I leave it for more than ten minutes the monitor black screen will never go back to the desktop. Leaving me no choice but the reset the computer if I leave it for any length of time. If I uncheck the power saving options and disable sleep, the monitor will go into sleep mode and wake back up no issues, but from a power consumption point of view, I would rather my entire machine go to sleep. Second issue deals with the shutdown process going into a panic. again needing a hard reset, unsure if this is related to the first issue with sleep, but the computer will not shutdown amicably without the panic. "TLB invalidation IPI timeout, unresponsive CPU bitmap" in "..corresponding to current thread: launchd". I am unsure how to upload a debug file or create one at this moment but I will once I locate those instructions. I didn't follow any one guide in particular, but an amalgamation that was closest to my pc configuration setup, but I would certainly welcome one that would work for this setup the best. I don't mind reinstalling and starting over if it will fix the issues. My build: i7 9700k Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro (no wifi) Sapphire RX580 Nitro 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2400 8GBx2. slots A2 and B2 HP ex900 nvme 500GB Corsair H100i Pro RGB Fractal Design R6 Case LG UL550-W connected via DP Idle CPU temps running between 24C and 27C . @42C approaching full load no OC. yet.

    Introduce yourself.

New arrival here as well. Hello to everyone, crossing fingers I will be intelligent enough to follow the guides and help. ha Very new to this, but I built a pc for the first time last week (9700k, z390 AORUS pro, rx580), and it amazingly booted up and now I am running Mojave from it. A few sleep/shutdown issues etc but everything else works! I will try to iron the kinks out with help in other parts of the forum. Thanks for being here! Especially from a novice like myself.
