Sorry all clover users,

I made a error in the new Plist but have now corrected it so just redownload your Clover EFI and it should be fine again.

Sorry about that people. Daddy made a booboo :poster_oops: :hysterical:

Use PlistList Pro or Xcode to make the entries. You need to open your config.plist using either one of these apps and no the process is the same as before.

My fault, I've downloaded Clover version instead of OpenCore and and could not find 'PlatformInfo' line   ..need more rest.

All good except this error flashes on screen at boot for a millisecond:

OCS: No schema for BlacklistAppleUpdate at 3 index, context <Security>

There are only two different settings from my 059 config:

ApplePanic is true, was false in 059

SpoofVendor is false, was true in 059

I take it this is you're personally done EFI as I just checked mine on here and BlacklistAppleUpdate has been removed from the security quirks. You made me think I did a second BooBoo you bstard....:hysterical:

Go into your plist and remove the option for BlacklistAppleUpdate all together and the error will disappear my friend.

I'm an idiot. Now it's okay. Imagine that! Don’t know how that got in there.

I use an app called Kaleidoscope to compare the two configs and edit. I'd love to just drop yours in but I have too many specific entries for my wireless. I try to be careful, really I do.

THANK YOU! @AudioGod

No worries buddy but next time just make sure you say its your personal EFI to save me cursing myself and putting me into a blind panic.... :hysterical:

Hello everyone,

My config is a z390 aorus pro WiFi with rx580.

I have f12c bios.

The problem is that with the last efi clover, with unlocked bios profile already done, I get stuck after initial booting in a black screen. It looks to me booted but just no image. Catalina 10.15.6 version. Any tip or something I have to look at?

redownload the EFI as there was an error in the config but it’s now been fixed and make sure you download the Clover EFI marked as Polaris

if you go back 7 posts and your see the message from me about it.

Tried again, downloaded efi from OP, for the sake of me same thing, after initial booting black screen and no image. Is there aniother old version of the EFI I can try?

Hi all,

Just a quick one, in the image below you can see that only 3 1/2 of my login accounts are visible, I need to scroll across for the remainder, this never happened on my iMac and only seems to happen on initial login.

If I return to the login window from the desktop all 5 accounts are shown without the cutoff line.

Any idea how I can resolve this, google searching hasn't helped.

I've posted it here and not somewhere else as my setup / EFI etc doesn't need explaining here so hopefully the fix is easier to find.

Thanks

I just double checked it for you and it’s working fine.

did you remember to add details to the EFI?

Wow that’s awesome....lol

How on earth is that happening?
that’s not a hackintosh problem I don’t think but I’ve never seen anything like that before buddy.

Yeah it has me stumped lol...

You'll notice the selection box to the far left account, that moves if I click on an arrow to the right hand side (not shown in this pic) or use the directional buttons..

It certainly seems like its deliberate, but I've never seen it before on my iMac.

The only thing I done from the start of my hack which could be the root cause was to restore from my iMac time machine backup, moving away from the 5k monitor to 1440p might have something to do with it?  seems far fetched but I have nothing else to go on..

Hi All,

I am waiting for Aorus Pro Wifi Mini ITX motherboard (visible on screenshot below) to arrive, and I am preparing all files to get Hackintosh up and running.

I was planning to use AudioGod OpenCore files, as I see that should be no issues (I have seen that some people successfully are using it, f.e. MorenoAv),

but I noticed that this mobo has different BIOS (current version F8c) and I am not sure how to approach CFG Unlock.

I am not sure if I should follow steps in Dortania Guide (https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/extras/msr-lock.html) or is there any other way to approach it.

I would be grateful for any information and suggestions!

Once again, thank you @AudioGod for amazing work and support!

Unfortunately My EFI and bios profiles are not compatible with the Z390 I variant of the board, I have no idea why they call it a Pro Version as it’s a completely different PCB and VRMs to the Z390 Pro WiFi. You can give it a go anyway using the OpenCore 0.6.0 EFI but if it doesn’t work for you then that’s why.

Let me know how you get on when you do. :)

Just for the community to know, loaded msr profile with F12c, disabled power management in the bios and boom, straight into the system. Lost 8h on this. Thanks for support.

I see no graphic cards under system info. Can this lead to a problem?

I don't know if it's Opencore 0.60 (I was on Clover before) or the update ro 10.15.6, but I've had a few pretty bad graphics related problems in the last two days. I have the Sapphire 5700 XT Nitro+, and my EFI is exactly the one provided by @AudioGod apart from serial number stuff.

I had two instances of hard reboots no warning, nothing, instant reboot and a KP message appearing at the following boot :

A couple of times I also got full freezes of the interface, and was forced to force reboot. In the log there were things related to graphics as well (and VTDecoderXPCServ)

Aug 6 12:24:05 iMac com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.DumpGPURestart): Service only ran for 8 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 2 seconds.

Aug 6 12:24:40 iMac com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.DumpGPURestart): Service only ran for 3 seconds. Pushing respawn out by 7 seconds.

Any ideas ? I wasn't getting crashes like that before (10.15.5 on Clover), and this also doesn't seem to be related to graphic-intensive stuff (I wasn't gaming during the crashes, though the app I was using probably makes a light use of openGL).

Edited by Pieroman

@Pieroman Moving from clover to OC can be somewhat problematic as if you have stuff like Rc scrips in use when you used clover it will all still be present when you move to OpenCore.

You might be wise to do a TM backup and then do a fresh install of macOS and restore your image after that.

If you don’t want to do that then clean macOS manually by clearing your caches, nvram etc etc etc.

I've noticed on mine, from at least 10.15.5 (if not 10.15.4) through 10.15.6 (any EFI of either Clover or OC) that after selection of a user account for which to enter the password, the user icon intermittently (oh, that famous, unsolvable-making word!) goes either toward the left (for the leftmost icon) or the right (for the rightmost icon), and doesn't remain centered over the password line. The login actually happens fine.  I don't have enough user icons currently set up, for your behavior to show up on mine.  That said, I'll bet the behaviors are related.

Are you able to select the "half" user icon to successfully log into?  If not, you might from an Admin account select in the "Users & Groups" Preference Pane>Login Options to set "Display login window as:" "Name and password" instead of "List of users."  You'd then not see the user icons, and have to remember and type in each username to log into, in addition to that user's password on the next line down.  But user icon lineup weirdness would go away, because you wouldn't be using the user icons at the login screen at all.

In any event, I'm fairly sure that's a macOS "feature" (as in, not "bug," though who knows what they'd rationalize it's good for), not a Hackintosh oddity.  In fact, on another old real Mac that's been dosdude1'ed to run 10.15.6, I'm pretty sure I remember it (again, intermittently) doing the same thing.  Dunno about a new Mac running a supported version of 10.15.6, though.  Completely joking, I say, buy me a new one and I'll research it for you.

Thanks for the reply.

I am able to log into the half visible account and another to the right of it which is not seen, there is an arrow to the right I can mouse click to scroll through the users, or I can use the arrow keys.

I'm 99% certain its a mac "feature".. what has me confused is why I cannot find an option to disable it, and why it happens only on first login, and not when I return to the login window from the desktop.

I could understand if OI had 10 users and they wouldn't physically fit onto the screen, but I have 5 that do fit so its a bit odd.

I might contact apple or a mac baed forum / reddit etc to see if I can find out more.

Thanks again.

Edit*

So apparently the icon sizes were increased when Mojave was released, the feature allows you to scroll through the users with the mouse, arrow keys, or searching a user by pressing the first letter on their login name.

Dropping from the 27" retina display to a 1440p monitor is why I'm no doubt seeing the icons listed where they weren't previously.

It doesn't however explain why I need ti that way and cannot turn it off seeing as the accounts all fit very easily onto the display, as they do once I return to the login window from desktop.

But in any case, I've found my answer.

Hey AG,

successfully installed Big Sur Public beta from USB disk onto separate SSD partition using the OC 0.60 EFI that you have generated for z390 Pro - many thanks.

The same OC can see my Catalina partion but won't boot it.

It complains of not being able to load more recent kext than those pre-linked.  It this because I havent cleared my caches?

Big Sur booting and running faster on this machine.
