Hi All. Is there a way to use MB RGB?

Probably the answer is no but i just want to try my luck :)

Yes but only via windows. You set it up and it will stick forever. Only one colour or theme though.

Using  OpenCore v0.5.7, SMBios iMac19,1 (06/04/20). After plugging in 4th external HDD it says USB Accessory needs power and not connecting it. How to fix that?

Using 1000w psu. 10.14.6 Mojave

Thanks

the 4th external HDD is what kind of USB?

also my OC 0.5.7 is strictly for Catalina only and that’s why usb if failing like it is.

Use NDK OC 0.5.7 or Clover if you want to use my EFI with 10.14 buddy. Sorry.

I have the same board mate. Still on Mojave too.

AG's dsdt works A-OK! Using Clover though.

Have the same issue USB Accessory needs power. So it is already connected keyboard in USB 2.0 and 3 external hdds in 3.0. It happens when I plug in 4th external hdd

but is it the same device that makes it fail or any 4th device?

i have 9 usb devices all hooked into my hack right now with zero issues so are you sure it’s not the device itself causing trouble with macOS ?

update I just added my time machine drive plus 2 more external 3.0 drives and I have a type c ssd permanently connected bringing the total usb devices connected to my system including usb hubs too 12 devices with zero issues over here buddy sorry.

update no2 I just filled every spare port with a usb thumb drive and still I can’t make my usb fail and I’ve got every single device switched on so it’s sucking the life and power out of the usb lines and all is well.

not that I ever thought there was a problem on my side Efi wise but anyway there’s nothing wrong with any of the EFIs concerning USB, the problem is on your side purely.
You have a problem usb device my thinks. Sorry again dude but it’s non issue as a general one and again it’s something on your side.

Ok thanks. I tried 3 different drives as 4th. All with the same result.

Gonna check what I did wrong.

Can anybody that sees this overload there usb with devices and tell me what happens please?

I have never heard of the problem that @Artemi is having with a 4th device.

Testing on my side I can fill every single port including via my hubs with external hard drives and thumb drives and it has zero effect on my hack.

@WizeMan @eSaF @texem @Tiem any of ou ever heard of anything like this???????

No issues. macOS is acting as it should. The peripheral is not getting enough power. Nothing to do with his Hack but rather the device. Like hooking up a 3.5" external without the AC plugged in.

It's the HDD he's connecting. macOS working as intended.

No problems here with external disks as well (that draw more power) in fact there are occurrences where my MacBook will show not enough power issue on an external hard drive but the hack won’t.

Three things you can do.

1, disconnect the Kraken and use that header

2. Buy a internal usb hub (your have to try multiple makes as some won’t work and some will)

3. use a external usb2 port instead using a different cable to connect the Bluetooth to the usb2 type A  port.

any of the above will work but be careful if you go the internal usb hub route and steer clear of anything like that made by Corsair.

could you fill in your signature system spec so anybody who wants to help you can see your exact spec.
More info is needed then what your giving out I’m afraid squire.

also what ssdt for the 5700xt ?????
I’m Major baffled now after reading that.

try removing it and see if your sleep works without it.

why on earth do you have a ssdt for a 5700xt???.

now you have totally lost me and raised my interest at the same time.

I take it you made your own OpenCore EFI and your not using my one?

Ah ok that makes a lot more sense thank you :)

use hackintool and check your power settings and correct them if they are wrong and also clear your cache and rebuild your permissions again via hackintool, restart and at the bootpicker press space and then clear nvram and that should correct it for you.

And also if you haven’t got a combo/ WiFi or Bluetooth card then you can remove AirportBrcmFixup.kext from the config.plist and kext folder.

Out of curiosity what would a correct power settings screen be? For comparison

Open hackintool and it will tell you and you can correct it via there too and it will set it correctly all for you.
