ok, AFAIK earlier we had them disabled and i didn't update my config here regarding these items last times.

My info shouldn't harm anyone, and twice is better anyways.:)

Nice weekend to all

Your dam right buddy and I’m all for it so you carry on giving all the advice in the world sir as I nothing but appreciate it. :)

I redid the booter quirks back when I was debugging with vit a good few months ago trying to get windows and Linux to behave under OpenCore and vit got me to setup the booter quirks like they are now and I’ve not needed to change them since.

I get a lot of people moaning to me asking why my booter quirks don’t line up with the OC Bible and I keep having to point out that it’s a fooking guide not a Bible :hysterical:

Have a good weekend bro. Big ups to you. :angel_not:

And sadly to say but we still suffer from MemAlloc issues. We only have a very few slides available / can be seen in OC debug log.

BS beta10 requires more slides allocated . Vit fixed this last night in OC 063.

To get it more stable,  modify config.plist

<key>DevirtualiseMmio</key>
<true/>

and

<key>ProtectUefiServices</key>
<true/>

I suppose that’s why I get a 20% boot fail ratio on my system. Good find. Will update OC.

Running into a bizarre issue. So before I just plop @AudioGod's new EFI's onto my boot drive, I test them via a usb stick install (which from my understanding is the proper way to do this). However, on boot I select the EFI folder and I get the following error message

OCB: StartImage failed - Already started

Halting on critical error

What is even more strange is that I tried a different usb that I use as my "master" that has the EFI that I am using on my boot drive and I get the same issue. I did some googling but didn't find anything useful for my case, any ideas? Thought about maybe clearing the nvram and trying again?

Clear your nvram and try again buddy

I feel so dumb but I've been trying the Cmd+op+p+r to reset the nvram but doesn't seem to be working per https://news.knowledia.com/US/en/articles/dortania-opencore-desktop-guide-4b1c257af9b58e95bfc916318489c699ed840222, is there another way?

Press space at the bootpicker and it will reveal the option to reset your nvram.

Very bizarre still getting the same error :/

I bet you boot off the Stick and then on the BootPicker you select your current EFI that is on the build’s drive but not the actual macOS boot partition :)

Insert endless tales of woe here <>

Insert effusive gratitude here <>

Since I didn't have to flash my MOBO to H12D, and didn't have to unlock CFG I finally did my first OpenCore installation which went smoothly and seems to be trouble free. (there were iffy parts where Boot Menu showed multiple Install macOS options but it worked out).

My wife said I should send you flowers. If you want I could send a nice Photo of my Grandkids.

Cheers mate!!!!!

@eSaF If your feeling game then give this a bash and let me know if your onboard WiFi card says yes.

If anybody else using the Pro WIFI wants to try it out then please post your results here.

@WizeMan This should work on your B360N WIFI too.

I have already swapped that freaking card with a native Apple one (using an A/E adapter - I had to get a low profile 90mm fan for rear exhaust in order to fit in the new case and still it barely fits, the fan and adapter actually touch). I used OpenIntelWireless until the card was shipped here though:

- WiFi worked well (using Heliport) but of course no airdrop, handoff, continuity.

- Bluetooth Audio was funky: my AirPods Pro would connect but when enabling it’s mic from the sound settings it would just disconnect.

- My Bluetooth accessories’ battery would drain in no time. I had to change batteries three times a day on my Magic Keyboard.

- Needless to say that unlock with Apple Watch wouldn’t even show up on the Security tab on system preferences.

I have discovered a small problem. The USB C on my case which comes from the board HS01/SS01 seems to only be SS01. I have a Hub I want to plug there which now only works when I plug USB3 devices into it. USB2 flash drives and Micro SD cards aren't read. Thought I'd ask for guidance before I trashed everything.

Yeah that’s how I set it up universally to abide by the 15 port limit. Just edit the kexts plist and change it to how you want it or make a new usb kext for yourself using hackintool (I’m sure you know how but if not check glasgoods guide on page one of this thread for instructions).

Remeber not togo over 15 ports if you make a new kext for yourself. :)

Sorry it’s also the same deal if you edit the plist and add hh01 to it. Your need to remove a port from the plist to keep it at 15 ports. SS01 and HH01 count as 2 ports.

You are a scholar and a gentleman.

I ran into this roadblock (see screenshot)

Here's a shot from Hackintool after replacing USBPorts.kext and rebooting.

I guess that front USB C port is showing as SS02

Nothing shows on the HS side when I plug a USB2 into the hub.

I don't think that there is a port 9 on this board , at least not external.

You're too nice.

HH07 is now USB C (should be HS06)

Maybe you could just point me toward something so I could edit the kext/info/plist.

<key>HS02</key>

<dict>

<key>UsbConnector</key>

<integer>10</integer>

<key>port</key>

<data>

EgAAAA==

</data>

I just don't understand the <integer> and <data> entries

Screen Shot 2020-10-18 at 4.47.59 PM.png

You sure that’s the second usb kext I uploaded?

that’s the mistake I made in the first one and corrected in the second.. it it it should be HS02 listing as a usbc now.

let me double check and you do the same by redownloading and replacing one more time.

@jeffbellamy Looks correct to me.

Here it is one more time and please reset your nvram between changes this time please.

(press space at the bootpicker to revel the option)

Also make sure you refresh the page on Hackintool to show the latest setup ;)
