Updated bios to f12j.

Everything works as before.

Overclock, Wifi, sata hotplug in case dock, etc.

Clover 5122

Aorus pro wifi.

Nice to have CFG Unlock option.

I tried to update to latest Clover 5125 but it doesnt boot.

I also noticed that i have RC scripts installed. Is that a problem? if yes, how can i remove them.

Bluetooth kexts still cause error at boot. Succesful boot is random with those.

OpenCore demands RC Scripts is not there and you don't need them in Clover either.

Remove them using the Clover app.

Can I ask what advantage the new bios especially the unlock MSR has over the one I am using from your EFI, yours seems to be working perfectly in my system.

@scotty pro F12K/F12J Improvements other then MSR Unlock are as follows:

1. Update CPU microcode SA-00295 to solve potential security vulnerabilities in CPU

2. Enhance RAID AIC compatibility

3. Fix CPU Vcore and power behavior

4. Workaround beta BIOS to improve Kingston DDR4-2666 stability concern on some specific memory chip suppliers.

I have highlighted the 2 main reasons that make it a no brainer to why you should update the bios but having MSR Unlock as an option is the icing on the cake for us hack users :)

Tomorrow I’m going to put my test drive back in and see if I can get Bluetooth going properly via OC and then Clover. Il let you know what happens.

Can confirm bluetooth is working with OC, just swapped out a USB for HS14 and removed bcrmfixup - no handoff! been solid for a few days now.

The reason I did this is due to constant crashes with the fenvi when using my sony headphones and magic mouse / keyboard, it would kill the bluetooth resulting in loss of all USB and having to restart.

There are similar issues with a few cheap PCIe adapters going around myself and Tiem have spent a bit of time trouble shooting them and both reached the same issue, I'm not sure if his lates card has evolved the issue but I guess thats the gamble with these adapters, some have multiple components whilst others have next to nothing...

So i'm now running fenvi wifi on mac when needed (installing cat6 as we speak) intel bluetooth. Fenvi usb unplugged. In windows Fenvi is disabled.

My only issue so far is having to repair my bluetooth devices when switching from windows to mac and vice versa, its beyond my knowledge to work out how to resolve this.

bcrmfixup Is one to use with the WiFi drivers. It helps big time.

leave it in there.

I read it might crash with the intel bluetooth but I'll give it a go, thanks!!

Also been running the bios J beta without issues for weeks now.

Ive read the the intel wifi is limited to around 80Mbps? might have been resolved by now but I'm not sure as I've not tried it.

Just noticed your test EFI, Ill run that tomorrow and report back..(bed time here now)

Thanks. But how do I do a NVRAM reset on clover? I only did it on real Mac...

Press space at the bootpicker to reveal the option for your nvram.

Same sort of testing your doing already.
Speed, Bluetooth devices like keyboard and mouse, handoff, Apple Watch unlock, airdrop, etc etc

got the better of me.. tested now, failed to boot?  just got the circle no exit type image..

I'll check my config again in case I've messed it lol

Ive just booted from USB to get back in but its loaded the Intel drivers - I'm using the wifi now and bluetooth for keyboard and mouse.. handoff works..

Can confirm poor speeds, I'm on 1Gb down 500Mb up and only getting about 40 down currently

Edit* airdrop doesn't seem to work, device is found on my iPhone, but just says waiting. iPhone is not being detected by Mac OS.

I'll mess about some more tomorrow, Im running from the UB boot loader currently so that could be causing issue

Failed to boot you say....grrrrr, it’s not impossible I messed up something in the EFI as I couldn’t test on the pro side but I don’t think I did, let’s see if it’s working for other people.

Don’t forget to reset your nvram between EFIs

Ignore me, EFI is good, NVRAM resolved it.

So to confirm.

limited speed

handoff works

airdrop doesnt

don't have apple watch to test.

I know bluetooth has been more stable than Fenvi so far.

I pressed F11 at clover screen. Read that it would reset the NVRAM. I will check if it still happens in the next days. So far it did not.

Sorry I thought you were asking about OpenCore.

I remember on clover i got random restarts. The problem was on connected dvd drive so i remove it and it was ok.

Now i move to OC from our blessed AudioGod and dvd drive is connected no restarts since few hours :) yey

Thank u Mr AudioGod :)

And can somebody show me how to change priority boot on OC boot menu ? Need to change for osx drive as default.

Control + Enter sets as default

right folks

my wifi/bluetooth card has arrived and I am in the process of updating my plist to get iMessage to work.

I have a serial number, MLB and UUID number thanks to Audiogod but I cannot figure out how to get the MAC address to place in the <key>ROM</key>   <data>

is it the one under settings network hardware MAC address which looks like 18:c1:5f:33:0e:99

or is it somewhere else.

would rather get it right first time rather than get locked out.

Tips to make this work (never had issues with iMessage / FaceTime etc):

- You should add your en0 MAC address, meaning your ethernet card's MAC address. if the Mac address is 18:c1:5f:33:0e:99 then using PlistEditPro the value of ROM should be 18C15F330E99

- Your MLB can be your serial + 5 letters, if for example the serial is C02J1MZCCJ3Q then MLB should be C02J1MZCCJ3QASDFG

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO CHANGE SERIAL / MLB / UUID THEN YOU NEED TO SIGN OUT OF ICLOUD BEFORE DOING THIS.

I would recommend generally signing out of iCloud for any change related to PlatformInfo.

Thanks, so all I have to do is remove the colons from my En0 address that is under network settings, I already have the other info, it was just the Mac address I was not sure about. Thanks for the tip about signing out, will give it a go later tonight and here is hoping it works :)

Been trying to get this to work for nigh on 10 hours now and still cannot boot with amended plist.

All I have done is insert the ROM value like so

<key>ROM</key>

<string>18C04D340E69</string>

or is there something else I need to do ???

Dude,

ROM is not string type, it’s data.
