UPDATE. IS NOT GOOD FOR ME . The fan on my MSI AIRBOOST Vega56  STOPPED WORKING  AFTER OS LOADED

AND will not Start up up when I put the card underload ALL OF YOU WITH THIS CARD KEEP A LOOK OUT

My Asus STRIX+ OC Vega 64 fans are working perfectly, steady 43 degrees at idle and fans not running, then under load as temps rise the fans spin up and as load decreases fans spin down.

I have just run part of heaven benchmark to see if the fans spin up. my fan did start to spin up BUT NOT AS FAST AS IT SHOULD HAVE. the back  of my GPUs ram chip got very hot (too hot touch so I canceled the bench mark test.) I'm not using VGTab-en.app tool or WEG.Kext or Lilu kext. I can not read the GPUs temps as my SMCkext is in my Ozmosis bios. so the monitoring software is not showing the temps for the GPU

How did you get the fans to work on your Asus Z370?  I have the Z390-I that has the NCT6798D which I believe is the same sensor package and can't make it work.  Did you make a new node for the Asus Z370?

My wife is Italian so please feel free to answer in Italian if you can't write in English.

Thanks!

Non uso FakeSMC e sensor ma:

VirtualSMC + SMCProcessor + SMCSuperIO

https://github.com/acidanthera/VirtualSMC/releases

HWSensor3 dello sviluppatore @vector sigma

Se vengono installati gli Intel power gadget vengono rilevati anche i loro valori da HWSensor3

From what I understood:

I installed the following from the links you provided:

VirtualSMC

SMCProcessor

SMCSuperIO

IntelPower gadget (which is where HWSensor3 gets its values)

And use HWMonitorSMC2.app_v2.4.4_development2.zip to monitor?

I don't see any fans.  Do I need to configure in HWMonitorSMC2 plist?

All Vega 64 and 56 bugs fixed. Fan Control fully working, coil whine in 2D applications gone, power state management fully operational. Vega users can remove their PowerPlayTables once the final version is out. Now you only need one for OC purposes.

I assume you mean in 14.4.5 beta?  Is it stable enough to run for Radeon VII users until release?

Is it possible to pull the drivers out of the beta and put in 10.14.4 or will it panic over versioning and other things?

Why not just update to 10.14.5 beta 1, would much easier than figuring out all the dependencies.

I have someone over at the German hackintosh-forum testing this. Will report but I guess it won't work. Also, right now they broke video hardware acceleration. Neither H.264 nor H.265 works at the moment.

How do you check H.264 and H.265 encoding? (i cant remember the app that shows you) Also. are you saying that its broken in 10.14.5?

@Wackymac Yup, VideoProc. And yes it is broken on 10.14.5. Neither H.264 nor H.265 works. But that also applies to other GPUs, not just Vega. Will report how it goes with the next betas. I am running the in productive mode for a couple of months now. ;)
