pion Posted October 31, 2006 Share Posted October 31, 2006 one other thing, with my 7600 GT my graphics are messed! when i scroll up or down everything start messing up, especially when i move windows around the desktop because u r using 10.4.8 nVidia driver. if u install macVidia's driver should get rid of it. Without DVD, bliking cursor appears...stuck. Like other user mentioned. I got GMA915(?) Extention error when boot up finish. QE/CI are working OK. Onboard LAN/Sound works (with patch). ---my testing rig --- DELL GX520 (GMA950) CelD-2.8 1024MB PATA-80GB I will watch this forum to see if I can find the solutions. murcielago585 Posted October 31, 2006 Share Posted October 31, 2006 thank you for the advice on the 7600 GT, i'm scared to use macvidia, it;s never really worked for me on previous builds, so hopefully omni gets something working for us nvidia users. one other thing, i posted on the hardware section that my AppleAzaliaAudio.kext is nonexistant on this installation. consolation Posted October 31, 2006 Share Posted October 31, 2006 I've checked mifki's kernel though event if it says it's for SSE2. I don't know how to find out if my system's on mifki's kernel or semthex's kernel now. I've booted with fsb=333 option so I guess it's mifki's one and only the descripts are bad. Go to the system/library/extensions and delete all appleintel915 files.... I did that and I got my qe/ci to work and that error vanished. I ahve the gma 950 i believe they where working in previous builds?brad I had thought it worked in mine but I tested the screensaver and it didn't work well so I have to assume it's not on in mine (I cannot bring up the profiler) Not sure.... I still cannot boot with out the dvd and when I tried bless it came back with an error. The same thing shows up when you boot the DVD. it boots to grey apple logo then dvd stop loading. it seems theres a missing kext from the 10.4.7 dvd on this 10.4.8 dvd. It seems they compiled the kernel without generic ide support or so. May it be possible to get the 10.4.8 kernel working on an already installed jas 10.4.7(updated to 10.4.8.) ?
