Sorry, I was using Duran Keeley (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/302076-amd-yosemite-kernel-release-for-help-use-the-help-topic/?p=2079528) build script to pull and build 10.10.1 & 10.10.2 vanillas without any problem, but 10.10.3 is another story. I tried installing Xcode & CLT 6.1 but the build had errors. Also tried Xcode & CLT 6.4 but same errors.

Well.... I greatly appreciate ALL THE HARD WORK ON THE KERNEL and I'm sorry I stopped the programming thing 10 something years ago...

THE MAIN AGENDA

Has anybody had success with updating to 14F27 and had no issues with apps completely functioning the way they did in back in 14F7a? Or is everybody running into the same issue with a few not running anymore properly, the way they did before upgrading, and not opening at all. Ex. Chrome not keeping passwords saved, apps not compatible with this version. Or is it just me!?!?

Do I need use this boot file if now I don't have any problems with my audio (use AppleHDA with my ADI1988). What problems are this boot file solve? Only audio or something else?

Hi all,

I have 2x hackintosh machines.

One intel x99 system and another amd system, has anyone got the 10.10.5 kernel working okay with the FX 8150 & Gigabyte mobo? Does it also include apple music in the update as the intel version did?

Thanks.

Gils, when you write "now 10.10.5 14F27 works good :thumbsup_anim: with Extensions 10.10.4 and AppleMatch/Sandbox 10.10.5/Pthread 10.10 / ACPI/iopci patched", do you actually mean you replaced all 10.10.5 kexts by those from 10.10.4, except the AppleMatch/Sandbox and so on? Sounds quite harsh to me and reminds me of the MLPF hack that pretends to be ML 10.8->10.8.5 with ML DP1 kernel + kexts under the sheet...

Wouldn't it be better to try and identify the potentially problematic kext(s) instead? I'm thinking System.kext or any other "sensitive" kext like that.

which is exactly that what I asked in some pages earlier.

we need to find the cause, as this is the moment, it is not sufficient.

to system.kext alone it will not lie, I have already tested. compares the system drivers which were renewed after the update. the drivers in S/L/E are about five or six system drivers have been completely renewed.

I've tried using of replace the five or six system drivers from a previous OS X version, unfortunately, something else came in between and have not pursued the resulat.

This boot's can disable c1e if in bios enabled c1e ! If enable c1e and no support for c1e in boot, i get problem sound and work system and problem loading .

AppleMCP89RootPortPM.kext peut-être la cause de nos maux , il rejeté par le kernel lors de cette opération terminal :)

ommiting kext :worried_anim:

cd /Volumes/Macintosh_HD

sudo kextcache -system-prelinked-kernel

sudo kextcache -system-caches

With Bronya's 10.10.3 kernel running 10.10.5 I tried replacing the following files from 10.10.4,

Kexts - AppleACPIPlatform.kext, AppleAPIC.kext, AppleMatch.kext, IOACPIFamily.kext, Sandbox.kext, System.kext

CoreServices - mDNSResponder.bundle, loginwindow.app, logind

I also patched the dyld with the amd_insn_patcher

Here is a log from loginwindow crashing. This is on a 10.10.5 install that has never loaded the GUI. Was a clean install using the YosemiteHD installer and kernel/kexts added for current installation.

@Shaneee, but use AutoAPBDecrypt 1.2, "the automatic Apple Protected Binary Decryptor" by Andy Vandijck,

then start "AutoAPBDecrypt / Release Mountain Lion / AutoAPBDecrypt.app" it works on 10.10

That's right, dyld was not decrypted but in my last download link are all others decrypted binary files in the package.

these files were found and decrypted by the tool:

\System\Library\CoreServices\Finder\Contents\MacOS\Finder
\System\Library\CoreServices\Dock\Contents\MacOS\Dock
\System\Library\CoreServices\Loinwindow\Contents\MacOS\Loginwindow

\System\Library\CoreServices\backupd.bundle\Contents\Resources\backupd

resume for me with Extensions 10.10.4 // kernel 10.10 and 10.10.3

crash MplayerX/DivX HEVC

vlc/QuickTime works

with Extensions 10.10.5, no works

:)

I just deleted the /usr folder from 14F27, copied the ENTIRE /usr folder from 14F6a to 14F27, repaired permissions and EVERYTHING runs 100% perfectly with no crashes!!!

similar with installing 10.10.5 build14F9a to14F19a and to14F25a ... However, we should definitely find the cause, why we do so much work, so that the app's can works?

Ps:

I start with tests tomorrow. Today I was busy with my real iMac. I have everything formatted and reinstalled OS X. :D

@daksi99 and @Gils

long term is that the best solution, but I must confess that my hackintosh, if everything works, then runs much better than my real iMac12,1. :D

Edit to our problem:

I can at the moment do not try to test,, but if I see the IOBluetoothFamily.kext driver from 10.10 and 10.10.5, then these have a small differences, is as seen in the picture. - the files differ even in their size!

... no idea what function this driver has. I have not researched.

Edit:

here is a good tool (FreeFileSync.app) to compare two directories.

Set in the options either by file content or date and time, I have set the Settings option on file content and make search, and receive these differences, see csv -file :)

Edit:

these are the differences that I have found on my Extensions folder, the rest is understandable, see differneces.xls

differences IOBluetooth 10.10 to 10.10.5.jpg

Here with this kernel update with 10.10.3 ,10.10.5 audio was bad seeing the procedures that you guys made doing the same could not get the audio, anyone can make available audio files and my realtek 8111 but with the kext ##### does not work .

I have been playing with the kernel trying to fix the invalid opcode error when booting 10.10.5 and I have one that seems to fix the opcode error and booted all the way (with just the pthread.kext, video and audio kext replaced) to "Missing Bluetooth Controller Transport" and then "Resetting IOCatalogue" but stucked there. I am not verse with OS X kexts, and I am not certain if the problem is in my video driver or something else but the same kernel works well with 10.10.4.

attachicon.gif10103R2.zip

Test this kernel and see if you can get further than I am. For those who already have 10.10.5 running, could you check if this kernel runs on existing 10.10.5 system?

Your kernel booted 10.10.5 14F27 and 14F6a just fine with no issues over on my end! :)
