I don't think that it maybe my Kexts... most of them are for functionality:

ALXEthernet  -AtherosL1c ether kext

AppleATIATA -ATI Sata (this one maybe superfluous)

DVD_Apple -AnV's Superdrive kext

FakeSMC -fakesmc

corecrypto -patched

PXHCD -USB 3

SuperVIAATA -ATI Sata

Also I have them in S/L/E not in Extra/E

but I am attaching none the less:

attachicon.gifS_L_ExtandExtra.zip

Additionally: though I don't get the Pink Launchpad I get  Errors on screen capture ( quicktime.gif  utube.mov   3.39MB   2 downloads) and the icon errors as well as Preview Greenness when saving/copying.

Actually tragediana you may be somewhat right!! :) I was doing tests with all of my Kexts (I also had corecrypto -patched) apparently having all of my kexts in S/L/E it fixes Pink Launchpad... you see I do get it but for half a second then they disappear really fast.... but remove all to E/E they remained pink the whole time (10 mins)

Thats how it works for me, maybe test it?

LOL thanks for the idea

after removing some "unused" kext & kextcache,

now there's no pink icons on my launchpad & dashboard

I don't know if it's really a permanent native solution or just temporary

Hi Tested latest kernel.... still pink launchpad, clock still jumping all over time...

otherwise pretty good!  ; )

AMD64X2 3800+ , Nvidia 9400GT, 4 G ram, Nvidia MC61 chipset (2008)

timing problem causing clock issues??  see Diagnostics messages "exceeded max slew - resetting clock"...

change resolution ;)

To me there is still pink :D but I will try later, because I'm tired of trying :D

I'll also work on the PM kext.

Bronzovka's method of detecting tsc can be used and adapted for PM... ;)

What kexts did you remove?

mostly I removed some kexts which (I thought) might not not related to my hardware

and I read this thread as my reference

http://www.projectosx.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=102

don't get too excited since that might not be the real solution

try at your own risk

Changing the resolution to remove any red icon is the kernel from kernel RC7 fix!

I create beta_version_rc1 with my and AnV new opemu :

1) deleted flags -alttsc , -altcache.

2) fix flag and add "-genuineintel" - it is for GenuineIntel .

3) and "-emulateintel" - it is model processor . see sysctl -a machdep.cpu.brand_string

4) added intelclock .

5) fix cpuid .

please check and result here...

updated kernel ...

Works great here. Still the same slight bugs as before though. Fast boot ;)

Any news on the SSE3 emulator?

Will be happy to test it. L2 cache showing correctly here.

Development of that probably continues today ;)
