  1. Hi everyone! Long time no see guys! As you can see I am not new user of Insanely and do not want to post in incorrect section, but I can not find any similiar topic at all. I,ve searched the forum and the web and I can't find a solution. My question is that is there any possibility to install Mavericks 10.9.5 on external drive on the newest Macbook Pro 13 from 2018? I know that the Intel Coffee Lake is new generation of CPU's and there is no drivers in Mavericks system to run this CPU, but I was thinking about it alot and I decided to write here. Because if we can install all the newest OSX, macOS on older machines then maybe we can install older systems on newer builds? P.S. If I wrote in incorrect topic then please move this thread to the right section, I will be grateful

    Gtx 970 Issues

So your card is working with Web nVidia Drivers or not? When you boot with additional flag nvda_drv=1 then yosemite is identified your card or not? I would recommend to you to edit AppleGraphicsPowerManagament.kext and add your Device ID and Vendor ID instead of installing the web drivers.

    Installation erorr on FX 8150

In the picture I can see that your hack has enabled your graphics. Below the monitor icon you have the name of your card, so you do not need to edit your AGPM.kext for now. I believe that you've got full QE/CI. You can try to preview the screensaver and if it's working, you've got full QE/CI. I don't know this error from your screenshot so you need to wait for another user to help you

    Installation erorr on FX 8150

If you haven't got full QE/CI then you should do this: Try to boot with GraphicsEnabler=Yes and No. If that not help, boot with verbose mode and check if the that info is showing NVDAGF100HAL loaded and registered. When it's loaded then it's good. Try to edit AppleGraphicsPowerManagament.kext and add your nvidia card in proper section (your model of mac, I believe it's Mac Pro 3,1). If you did it good, you will see the AGMP.kext is loaded too in verbose mode. P.S. What do you mean graphical problem dialog? Screen?

    Installation erorr on FX 8150

On the KP screenshot I can see that you've got nonsense flags used: arch=x86_64 and ext-dev-mode=1. Delete the chameleon.boot.plist from your Extra and enter the flags manually ONLY for now. Do not use arch=x86_64 because it's unnecessary. You can use kext=dev-mode=1 instead of ext-dev-mode... FakeSMC is a good lead, you can try another versions od FakeSMC

    Installation erorr on FX 8150

Okay, I check this on my hack. Try to delete folder "modules" from your "Extra" folder and try to boot with these flags: -v kext-dev-mode=1 npci=0x3000 -f (first try to boot without kext-dev-mode) My Chameleon version is 2549 (You can also try Enoch bootloader instead of Chameleon if you can't boot)

    Installation erorr on FX 8150

You can set the busratio just write it down on boot. The flag is busratio=xx. This link will help you http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/240542-guide-getting-your-busratio/?p=1606761 But I believe the busratio is included with the newest kernels I asked you for DSDT because I though you have one and this is the reason why you can not get to the Yosemite OSX. DSDT is not necessary on AMD stations, but if you want to make one you need read some threads about it. Guys from these threads should help you do it your own DSDT if you asked them. But I am little confused because I don't know why you have PCI configuration begin... EDIT: You can also try different kernels from the main thread about Yosemite kernel testing

    Installation erorr on FX 8150

Strange... In your Bios settings have you set the HDD's to AHCI mode? Have you got DSDT? Did you try to set busratio on Chameleon boot? You can try also with these flags: PCIRootUID=1 npci=0x2000 / npci=0x3000 (PCIRootUID=1 is generaly for Gigabyte motherboards, but you can try to add this flag)

    Installation erorr on FX 8150

npci=0x2000 or npci=0x3000. Try to write it manually on Chameleon boot

Kernel panic with Bronya, Tora Chi 10.10 kernels

I used Enoch 2468 and it is working, but when I updated Enoch to the newest version then I've got KP or invalid opcode

Kernel panic with Bronya, Tora Chi 10.10 kernels

I has always invalid opcode when I was using Chameleon. I used Enoch instead of Chameleon and I was able to boot to the Installer. Unfortunatelly then freeze after instalation Try Enoch dude. Good Luck

Yosemite 10.10.0 No Mouse / Freezing

Hi everyone again I have no write here so long guys I have a strange problem with my installation of Yosemite. I've made a USB Installer with Spakk and Gils83 tutorials and propably I did it wrong because noone of these USB Installers won't boot - always KP. I tried every kernel. And I was stupid because I tried that with Chameleon instead of Enoch 1. Now I can boot to the Installer and I can install Yosemite without any problem but the point is that I can't click anything with my mouse. My keyboard is working and my mouse not - It's strange because they have one cable to everything (this is a Logitech Cordless Desktop... so I connect only the base and everything should work). What is even stranger that the mouse is moving and scroll is running, but I can't click anything, I can only press the keys on my keyboard. So this is the first problem. 2. Second is that, when I installed the system, Yosemite freezes after couple of seconds of using and I can only reset the computer. What should I do? Honestly, I have no idea what to do, because I never have such a weird problems. When ML and Mavericks was freezing I've added VoodooTSCSync and everything was ok. But now, nothing of my ideas works P.S. Graphics loaded with full QE/CI with dual display on installation (working OOB) - only one good info 24.02.2015 - I've tried couple of times make an USB Installer with Pandora.app and it's amazing app guys! But unfortunately the same results with mouse, it;s not working, I can move the cursor but I can not click anything. I also tries Distro USB Installer from AMDeeKay from this tutorial and the same error with the mouse (link below) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LcxlqGotk_w Cheers, Tom

Yosemite 10.10.0 No Mouse / Freezing

Yes gils, I used the original kexts (the kexts from Pandora.app), I used the original kexts from Yosemite, and I used these kext from Duran (your link). Strange think that the Duran replace kexts end with KP I will try again with the new USB Installer and I will post results. Thanks for reply EDIT: I've tested these kexts and I've got KP with IOPCIFamily.kext (this from Duran). This is the KP screen When I delete the IOPCIFamily.kext and paste only AppleACPIPlatform.kext installation boots and I can install Yosemite on HDD, but unfortunately without mouse. I will install the system and I will write if it is still freezing with the new AppleACPIPlatform.kext inside. And additionaly I check the kexts inside Extra folder from Pandora and there is something I do not understand. Pandora generates me FakeSMC.kext older than I used with Mavericks, is this normal? Screen below FakeSMC from Padnora (version 3.3.1) Newer FakeSMC I used with Mavericks (version 6.0.1082) Which one I suposed to use with Yosemite? EDIT: First try to install end with froze in the middle of installation (AppleACPIPlatform.kext from Duran)
  18. Guys!! I would really love to test your kernels again, but I can't. So little help from your side would be useful This is my thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/304651-yosemite-10100-no-mouse-freezing/ For now I can boot with the newest kernel from Tora Chi Yo 8C...D etc. and Bronya RC5 but this is only boot test and then freeze. Thanks for the hard work for Coders. Thanks Bronya, thanks Tora Chi Yo, and I am sorry for my absence for a long time

Help with installing OSx86 on AMD fx-6100

Mountain Lion, Mavericks nad Yosemite should run without any problems on your specs GTX 770 is problematic on Snow Leopard and Lion so I do not recommend you to install older osx than 10.8. Good Luck
  20. This is TSC error. Tora Chi Yo has right. I had these problems with Mountain Lion and Mavericks when I was working on Athlon X2. TSC Fix should resolve the problem
  21. Something like that. This is very annoying becuase sometimes I see no plugins at all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJ5mzXhJLzY
  22. Hello everyone! Long time no see!! First of all I want to apologise everyone for my absence for a long time. Unfortunatelly I could not test any kernel for Yosemite yet (I've got a lot o projects right now and a lot of work), but I see that you guys did a huuuuuge progress with kernel. So congratulations to our coders, moderators and testers!! I know that this is only kernel topic but I have question for coders and moderators. I am now on Mavericks and I am using Pro Tools for recording audio. When I installed Yosemite on MBP, my Pro Tools still works, but with graphic bugs (Now only the newest version of Pro Tools is without graphic bug but it cost too much for me to buy again the same software). The question is do you think this might be related to the kernel? Maybe there is something I can do to work on my older PT on Yosemite by changing something with the kernel? This is the main problem why I can not test now the Yosemite kernel on my hack (I can't upgrade because of pro tools software) If you've got any ideas please write PM to me (don't write here in the kernel testing topic unless it will be related to the kernel) CONGRATS AGAIN!!
  23. Hahaha My HDD is set to IDE always and always working on IDE (first position). AHCI is not for my motherboard because there is no drivers to windows 7 to this mobo. And my performance is much higher on IDE if you compare it with AHCI (strange I know, but I feel the difference when I work). And my Mobo has no FireWire I have no device on FireWire too EDIT: But I will try to switch to AHCI to test it
  24. You need to create that folder manually. There was a post about that 2pages earlier And guys, all we know that the older processors has different problems. In case AMD X2 there is graphic bugs and glitches and appstore. In FX's there is no problems like that. And that is couple of pages earlier too. Read carefully every posts and do not create posts with ONE word - it's only take a place in this topic. There is HELP TOPIC and you know that. With recpect to everyone here I do not want to insult anyone, but it is annoying (moderators have already pointed this out several times) :)
  25. Congratulations to both of you guys, Bronya and Takiguru! That was fast Unfortunatelly in my case (I don't know why) these two kernels are not working on my specs. Bronyas kernel stuck on IOBluetoothHCIController Search for Transport Event Time Out Handler — missing Bluettoth Controller Transport! for about 5minutes and the installation window starts. I can move the mouse but I can not click anything, I need to use my keyboard to begin the installation. Installation is stopping after about 15minutes with no progress with error of Essentials.pkg package corruption. Whole installation is like in slow motion - the mouse is moving veeeeeeery slow - I think it is the problem with my GT640 (working OOB on Mavericks). On Takiguru's kernel - the same hang on IOBluetooth... but no installation window - only spinning wheel. Propably there was some mistakes when I made an USB Installer so I will do it again and report everything - so it's my fault for now guys Congrats again :thumbsup_anim:
