DSDT Auto-Patcher

Tried your patcher for P5QL Pro. Don't really have any problems with my setup but I wanted to check out your work. Seems sweet! =D Got a couple of questions though. I allready have a DSDT I've made my self and can't really find any errors on my current setup but the patcher mentions a couple of things that I'm a bit courious about.

 

INTEL AHCI ICH10 (Snow allready reconizes my SATA-ports as ICH10)

HID/CID (Got the option to allow powerbutton to sleep without this)

SHUTDOWN seems to work just fine (don't do it that often though so maybe I'm just lucky )(Whops, added that fix in my dsdt couple a months ago, forgot..)

 

Is there a chance to get some more info on the different patches (like the actual DSDT-code it changes) and what they should fix that shouldn't work OOTB?

Thanks for your reply and the attachment! If I understand right, I need to build a Chameleon boot disk with structure like this:

 

-boot
-Extras
---com.apple.Boot.plist
---dsdt.aml   (==> I think I need to get this one with the patcher myself, right?)
---SMBIOS.plist
---Extensions
-----FakeSMC.kext
---Themes
-----default

 

And once installation is finished, I need to upgrade to SL 10.6.5. And then I need to copy the attached "LgacyAppleAHCIPort.kext" and "IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext" to the Snow Leopard partition, /System/Library/Extensions/ .

 

Am I right on the procedure? Thanks!

Yea, identical to my setup (just sound and LAN kext in S/L/E). As close to the real thing you can get, hehe.

FYI,

 

I was the one who gave you the DSDT for the Asus Rampage III Formula Bios Version 0402. I just updated to bios version 0505. Attached is the new dsdt that i extracted from it. Not sure if anything is different. Extracted in windows.

Could you take a look at the DSDT for my Samsung R480 notebook? I've made some patches, and included both the original and patched DSDT. Sleep is the main thing I have been unable to fix.

I have an ASUS P6T WS motherboard, and my only thing is that the PCI-X slots are not integrated well, the OS cannot see any pci cards installed, so I have trobles with ProTools HD cards, one works fine, but two cards cannot work together.

Any soulutions, or mb patces are really welcome.

I don´t know if you have watched my send_me, so I´m going to upload it again. If you have already watched it, sorry.

My Laptop is a HP ProBook 4520s, with an Intel Celeron P4500 (1,86 GHz) and Intel HD Graphics. The send_me is extracted in 10.6.2 by Hazard, but I want to install 10.6.3 retail or 10.6.3 iAtkos S3 and update to 10.6.5

Thanks for all the effort, I've a proper working system E5500 on EP35-DS3 with everything work.

 

The following kext in /E/E

AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext, FakeSMC.kext, ApplePS2Controller.kext, IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext

 

And bin patched AppleHDA.kext in /S/L/E

 

I edited the DSDT.aml to incorporate the fix for Sleep. Thanks for everything!

i miss a AutoPatcher for GA-P35 DS3P.

Possibly I could recover thereby my problem.

 

All works fine under SL 10.6.5, inclusive sleep. But when i will "wakeup" the System, every time it booting from Ground up.

HP is always problematic

the errors come back every time we compiled

I do not know how to fix it permanently

Here is the DSDT that I have personally edited for P5QL-Pro (Fixed Shutdown, IRQs, Alias. Added HDEF, SBUS, DTGP). Sleep with powerbutton works and SATA reconized as ICH10.

What will i do now ? You said my system is very dirty.

 

I have 7 kexts files in my Extra folder. If i delete all of them except "fakesmc.kext"

and copy dsdt.aml to my root, will my system work stable ?

 

I have tons of project files and i am afraid to change something.
