Right, but my thinking was why use MacPro4,1 and have to modify vanilla platform.kext? Just use MacPro3,1 instead. Trying to keep it simple from an installer perspective. Also, if an update comes along the modifies the .plist that would be something you have to be aware of and remember to change back. Any thoughts?

hey im using my moms mac book pro, before the old gen without the new keyboard kind... and im trying to install p6t deluxe v2 pkg on too my 8gb flash drive. Its stuck on the "installing main...writting receipt.

it says it shud take less than a min but its been 10 min. Do i stop and start all over?

Eject the stick and try it. Use the boot CD method if it doesn't work.

you may be wright its on leopard.. lol.. well i just took it out and plugged it into my computer thinking it wud work. It started up till the part were i had to open disk utillites to format my harddrive, it just turns the mouse into a spinnig wheel i turned it off and turned it back on a couple of times same results. So im gonna go get my brothers macbook with snow leopard and do it, but what do i do with the files that are already installed on my flashdrive from the macbook pro installation? thanks

ok so im using the flashdrive method cause i dont now how to create my own costimzed dvd...but anyways..

 

i need help!!! when ever i install Mac OS snow leopard it installs but i dont now how to boot it... i get to the part were it tells me to get into charmelon from my flash drive... and click my mac os system to boot for my first time.. but its not their the only thing their is the instaltion thingy..

 

for the usb i installed everything currectly used the newest models of the macbook pros with snowleopard added the pkg thingy and all.

Strange!!! My SL has a xray look

My 3 year old son was typing on Pages as usuall and suddenly the normal SL look turn into xray look.

It seems that it can not be changed in system preferences.Any suggestions ???

Can someone please advise me...

 

I can only startup with -x probably do to incompatible graphics card.

However when I am under my OSX I am unable to mount usb stick / wifi adapter

 

1. is X mode some sort of safemode and not fully functional?

2. On a hackintosh will e.g wifi adapter driver work the same as under a regular MAC?

3. When I want to install my win 7 on other HDD do I have to change back my BIOS settings?

4. What would be a compatible affordable graphics card with my config?

Maybe is your old BIOS version...

 

Other things... maybe your HD3870 series is not completly supported by OSX, try nektas pc-EFI 10.6...

And if you have 2 GFX card don't use my DSDT 3.1.4 but use modifed version by kn6600 or better use the M2.4 or M2.5.

I updated my BIOS to 2101, however I still have the same problems, I am going to make these changes you suggested as soon as I have collected these files.

 

Can you be so kind and answer my question cause I really have little knowledge in this regards,

1 --> yes for graphics

2 --> If work's well under a real Mac probably work well on our Hack

3 --> Because your Win7 need a ahci driver (probably you install it before in ide mode )

Hi Fabio,

 

One more thing, for me SATA works better without "device-id" injection. It's more responsible.

(Just for information)

 

And if you want move line "Name (_UID, Zero)" in PCI0 device above Name (_ADR, Zero).

This will remove UID not found error at the beginning of boot process.

Okay that is clear, thanks...

 

I have downloaded the suggested boot file + 2.4 DSDT file and replaced it, then I reran the P6TdeluxeVSinstaller and compiled a new Flash image drive, after I started up in regular mode ( not using -x) the system still has the same issue, (blocky pixilated screen after light blue screen) I presume there is no need to reformat and reinstall if the Flash drive don't work, am I correct in this presumption?

 

With updated BIOS 2101 I still have had no luck, do you have any clue why I have these problems, I have read all 21 pages to familiarize myself, still...

the SLI or Crossfire feature is not supported under OSX so in Win maybe you have more performance, but "here" you have just more "display" different things with CUDA tecnology for parallel computing ... but as I say I have not knowledge with GFX.

Or use old method with a real Mac or a working Hack (plug your Hard disk and do the installation on it).

I have now done everything in the book to make it work without any success, can you confirm that the problem is caused by incompatibility of these cards, when I get blocky grey/black screen without the -x load.

 

 

1. Can you please advise me which graphics card will work in my configuration?

2. Is it possible that in X mode wifi adapter has issue, it install fine on my mackbookpro, but on hack nothing happens after install/restart.

3. is my sound (usb connect) suppose to work automatically? which on my macbookpro work w no problem

 

I noticed that some USB peripheral work and other not how can I fix this?

Maybe your GFX don't work in Snow leopard 10.6.x...

Before buy a new card... try with Leopard 10.5.x

Okay, how about this after I installed:

OS is starting up normally, but at the password prompt it plan to load but then get back to password prompt ( obviously w the right password) what does that mean?

 

Can you please tell me if USB devices are affected in save boot mode, cause they seem to not work under hack but have no problem on my macbookpro so that is kinda off to me?

what DSDT you use? (I think you use the DSDT include in the installation package...)

overwrite with the M2.4 (you can find in the first page of this trend)

Other things... you have access with your real Mac @ your hack hard disk?

Yes for the DSDT you can drop/ copy n paste, and the "icon" no change notthing...

 

Get work the system somethime is no easy...

try a fresh install again
