nVidia GeForce 6100 GPU up to 128MB of shared video memory

I am having this problem as well after three installation attempts, following the guide to the letter.

HOTiSO 10.4.6

Travelmate 8200

Core duo 2.0Ghz

2048MB ram

120GB Sata HDD

Intel 945 chipset

ATI Mobility X1600

Ive tried different combinations of the packages required for my system. Still doesnt work with just the Combo package and SSE 2 and SSE 3.

Also, when i select OSX from the acronis os selector it first displays the Darwin x86 loader with the spinning / and goes directly to the apple splash before going to the error message. I see none of the console stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all,

I just downloaded 10.4.6 from Azureus with the file named "10.4.6.install.dvd.iso". I successfully burned the ISO file to a DVD+R and when I put the DVD in my DVD drive, I boot to the disc, Darwin comes up and i press anykey to continue then the grey Apple logo comes up with the little spinning thing below it and then all of a sudden there is a "wrong" symbol that appears over the apple logo. Meaning "wrong" symbol, I mean a circle with a line through it and it just stops right there.

Any suggestions?

My computer specs are as follows:

-Dell Dimension E521

-AMD Athlon 64 3500+ (2.2GHz)

-1GB RAM

-Western Digital SATA 80GB HDD

-ATI Radeon 9200 128MB, PCI slot

-NVIDIA 6150 LE Integrated Graphics (On the motherboard, I installed a video card after I got my comp)

I have made all the steps, partitioned the hd, created a fat 32 primary partition, burned the dvd, rebooted to the install dvd (Mac.OS.X.Tiger.10.4.6.X86-HOTiSO). Then I get stuck when I get at the Disk Utility part where I have to select the destination, it doesn't show my hard disk and the partitions I made. The only things in the left panel are: my cd/dvd drive and the mac os x install dvd. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

My hardware:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+

Mobo: MSI MS-6702

Data Storage: Western Digital Raptor SATA Raid 0

I'm using the VIA SATA controller

Installed it on a Toshiba Satellite M70-309 (specs here: http://it.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi...p;DISC_MODEL=1) with WXP and Vista RC1... i have just to repair the Vista installation, but the rest is OK. Now I have some fine tuning to do...

Having same proglem as wonderousbill. Get the wrong symbol.

I have tried using:

Apple.OS.X.x86.Developer.Kit.Install.DVD-pheNIX - got wrong symbol

Try setting the partition type to 0xAF, with acronis disk director or other tool. Then try again to install.

success with xps m1210 :)

Mac-OS-X-10.4.7-AMD.Intel-(JaS)-ISO-Repack DVD ISO

trying to repeat this on an HP laptop w/ AMD turion

when booting from the DVD i get the com.apple.Boot.plist not found error

this is the same DVD i used to install on the m1210

any ideas why this could be happening ??

Im getting the same as wondrousBill, the annoying "wrong" icon.

An suggestions would be greatly appreciated

as for bill's problem, it sounds to me like he downloaded a non-hacked version of OSX. usually the hacked ones have a tag on them so people know. maybe check to see if your version of OS X is a hacked one, or a clean one?

succes!

on my acer aspire 5680

with Mac-OS-X-10.4.7-AMD.Intel-(JaS)-ISO-Repack

sound: Realtek audio output working (thx to guide by rammjet) input not working

battery meter enough working :compress: thx to patch (see wiki) (shows the right percentage but if I set it to show the time it'll last it says about 10 houres (which would be cool if it where true :P)

Hello all, this is my first post. I'm trying to install this setup on a PC I built last year. I checked to make sure that all of my hardware is compatible and it is but when I put my iso on and try to boot it my computer just keeps taking me straight to the Acronis Disk Selector. I think I either didn't download the right one or I'm not burning it right. If anyone could recommend a program to burn it with I would be appreciative, I'm currently using Adensoft DVD/CD burner.

Okay I have it burned and it reads it now but when I get to the grey apple screen I get a circle with a slash through it. Does that mean that something is not compatible because I already checked to make sure that everything was?

If you were to boot up in verbose mode (-v) you would be seeing the error message "waiting for root device".

Make sure your DVD drive is on the same cable as the hard drive. Set the hard drive to master and the DVD drive to slave using jumpers, not cable select. Make sure any other drives including external drives are disconnected.

thanks for your reply Rammjet. I did exactly what you said and im getting the still waiting for root device error so I think I might have misread something when I was checking to make sure that everything I had was compatible. So I'm thinking that maybe my motherboard can't run it. I have an Intel 865GVHZ.

Got it working. Used the MacOSX_10.4.4DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso.

One problem though, the onboard NIC doesn't work, from what I can tell everything else is working. Anyone know how to fix this problem.

I just burned "Mac OS X 10.4.7 AMD/Intel (JaS) ISO 2.90 GB " to a DVD, I have two hard drives, my main hard drive with windows installed on it and secondary backup drive with nothing on it. Will I be able to install this to my backup drive following your guide?

Thanks

*edit - would I be able to install it onto my backup drive without partioning and still be able to boot windows from my other drive?

I can confirm this worked fie for me. I used Jas 10.4.7 REPACK. My comp's specs are:

HP Pavilion Laptop dv8000 17"

1.60 GHZ Duo Core Intel Centrino

1 GB RAM

Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 256MB

However my internet and sound is not working, I have wireless and ethernet. Any hints would be great. But THANK YOU for the guide!!!
