Ben Eyre, I would not recommend pc card, because it leads to another problem of pc card drivers.
USB is a good solution. Might be good also mini pci thing.

How is the Kismet reverse-engineered Apple80211.h header used to replace the code that tuxx started?

I would really like to see this working. As a base for a 3945abg driver, it would be brilliant.
10.4.4 and 10.4.5 seem to have IO80211Family.kext in them.
So, who's currently working on this driver?

I'm not sure if this is above my level, but is there a way that I could help?
Are the sources on http://sourceforge.n...rojects/iwi2200 up-to-date? I'll have a look anyway

hi,
nice to see people picking up on this...
i am unable to get 10.4.3 or higher to boot on my banias Pentium M due to broken PAE so i cant really help develop on that platform.. i installed 10.4.1 again today and i still am interrested in getting this to work...
dlbogdan: if you need some help understanding what has been done so far you can pm me and maybe we can meetup in chat or something
btw i would reckomend reading freebsds iwi driver over linuxs ipw, you'll see ive done alot of cutting and pasting from that code.
greets,
tuxx

And the offical Linux driver from Intel: http://sourceforge.n...rojects/ipw2200

Hey everyone, that's awesome to see there are some people working on this project! Does anyone know if the Intel 2100 card might work with a modified version of this driver, assuming the 2200 driver becomes functional?

hey tendrills,
the documentation is (i think) non-existent.
We have a tuxx-made driver, everything can be found in the first post.
hope you can get it working...i'm really discouraged...
oh and RP, that page is by tuxx, who created the beta driver in the first post. It's this topic's sourceforge site.
