  1. It's an older Core Duo 2.0. However, production date is pretty late (bought it month ago) which proves that even these almost last Yonah based MBP's are not trouble free (as i thought so).
  2. It is connected, battery indicator shows it is full (all dots are green), but Macbook Pro says "No batteries available". This is {censored}! First time I ever had trouble with a Mac and now when the deadlines are very close with the work! Anyway, just wanted to let you know...
  3. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

I am sure JaS version you can find at the bay full of pirates
  4. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

No, with this method I am sure you will lose QE and CI. You basically moved kexts to root of disk. It's the same effect as deleting mentioned kexts from Extensions folder. For sure QE and CI would not be supported, but am not sure about the native resolution (probably you'll be stuck with 1024x768)
  5. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

You don't actually need to edit anything after you plug paper clip thing/resistors (my recommendations go with resistors) as of 10.4.4. What you are trying to do is to force VESA to use 1280x800. Since that is not a standard VESA resolution, it simply refuses to work. However, once when the Intel GMA driver is loaded, OS X knows that your native resolution is 1280x800. What some reported with 10.4.6 JaS installation is that even with vga/s-video dongle and with native resolution, they don't have CE&QI. To solve that, you have to install driver again (it's a simple installation wizard). Link for it was floating around on this forum, but if you experience these kind of problems and can't find it, just PM and I will email it to you. I am keeping it for the nostalgic reasons ;-)
  6. iTunes 7 - Official Problem Thread

Geez, if it says SSE3 in the System Profiler, you can. How hard is that to see? Isn't this thread supposed to be attemp to try make iTunes 7 to run on SSE2? Why do we have just people that does not care to read previous posts? I tried several things on SSE2, none of them worked.
  7. iTunes 7 - Official Problem Thread

For all those having problems with going back to 6.0.5.... Trash iTunes 7 from Applications folder and delete everything related to iTunes in Library/Receipts. Now just run iLife installation. Install iTunes from there. It is 6.0.2 though but who cares.
  8. Hey guys! Cannot find here in Croatia any Dell Truemobile miniPCI card (official service point was not especially interested in ordering one for me). So I decided to try with Airport Extreme card. But judging by the pictures on the net of Extreme card, it does not have two small connectors (antenna&aux) that has my Intel 2200 card (in fact ALL miniPCI cards as far as I know!). Only explanation would be that Apple's card has RF integrated in the card, but that means not very good signal reception. Besides, Apple claims computer has to be Airport Extreme ready, but they do not explain what are the requirements... Has anyone tried to install it in PC laptop? Does it work? If I get green light from people here, I am running back to store to order it!
  9. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Every proprietary TV (which wire/pin hack actually does) has a maximum res of 800x600. You cannot change that because computer thinks 800x600 is a maximum resolution supported by the external monitor/tv. I had trouble with mirror mode (accidentally turned it on). I've tried so much stuff, but what eventually worked was tapping in the dark and trying to shoot display option in the upper right corner and turn off the mirror mode. Worked for me!! If that helps....
  10. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Does not work for me. I deleted AppleIntel915.kext, edited AppleIntel915GA.plugin, rebooted (reboot via terminal) and without dummy s-video all i got is blue screen. Additionaly, after pluging in dummy s-video QE i CI weren't supported. What version do you use? I am on 10.4.4. Also, notice that I am on dv1000 as well.
  11. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Search this thread, you have my explanation with the pics.
  12. I tried copying really whole bunch of stuff from the real windows into darwine drive and always get the same error. I think it is good to aim running IE even on this release. When next release is out we have working solution. Will join u on irc, although do not have much experience with irc so give me few days to find software for irc etc.
  13. [HowTo] Intel GMA 900 (for 915GM and 910)

Buy a VGA/s-video connector, and solder 2 wires on the appropriate pins (connect them).
  14. @ibookster U sure u quoted right person? I've never mentioned IE5:Mac because development for it has stopped and there is no reason to develop web for that browser. IE6 is still most used browser and that is what i need.... @Mashugly I tried Q. After two hours of installing, I gave up. I only have 512 MB of RAM. Downloading now Parallels and will see if it is less resources thirsty... Darwine would be still most elegant solution since it uses far less system resources... Dreamweaver, Photoshop and another OS emulator is such a system killer combination!
  15. If u were more careful with reading my post, u'd see that i need it for web development. So I want IE6 running exactly because it is a *bad browser*.
