and how do I remove and install the new version of fakeSMC ?, noob question, I know...

All depends on where did you put the old version.
Clover/kexts or S/L/E or L/E.

Just delete it (drag and drop to the Trash). And repair the disk permissions.

NP buddy.  ^_^

Be careful to not have duplicate kexts in your system.

Can anyone help? I'm stuck at

busy timeout[2], (240s) kextd wait(0): 'AppleACPICPU'

I already tried to drop the MATS ACPI table and to put FakeSMC in Other kexts folder, no go.

I read about putting AppleACPIPlatform.kext in Other kexts folder. Has anyone a suitable one?

Installer EFI folder attached.

I was loading HSinstaller w/ my SSD which had still Sierra installed and clover was somehow loading part of local config.plist

I have 2 problem after installing High sierra at Z77a-g43:

1) my 2 hard drives is not initialised at system and at boot - disk1 I/O error, disk2 I/O error ... Sata Intel 7 generation /c 210, problem maybe at sata controller driver, because at sierra 10.12.6 - all ok

2) after reboot/reset high sierra not boot (see attached file), but if shutdown/power off - and then power on - boot is normal. "HaltEnabler = true" don't help

how to fix it?

Hello guys, how are the things going?

So, many of you already have the macOS 10.13 installed, and if you can, I need a little help.

Is not too OT, is simple.

It's still possible to create a HFS+ bootable media in a APFS system?

E.g: I want create a Yosemite/El Capitan/Sierra bootable to Hackintoshes in my High Sierra+APFS...

Thanks  ;)

You mean installer media? Disk Utility allows you to format as HFS+j, so I don't see why it shouldn't be possible. The process would be the same as before

Exactly.

I ask that because I've saw some controversial talks in the net, but I didn't find out if this are true or not.

>get install screen

>1 minute to finish

>verbose black screen and reboot automatically, every time I try

>system is not installed correctly

Give feedback to Apple. :)

I recommend a clean install on a new partition (same HDD, per OSInstall.mpkg) to figure out whats interfering. Keep your S/L/E untouched and youre good to go.

thats first what I did.. didn't help. also installed web drivers with sip disabled. tested 2 port, DisplayPort and DVI, on DisplayPort black screen but on DVI all ok. so? where is the catch? PS in Linux and Windows all ports are working well

Any source where's this info coming from, or this is just 10.13.1 Beta 2 (but no, it begun with 17Bxxx) ?

https://developer.apple.com/news/releases/

Yes, 10.13.1 is 17BXXX

EDIT: here a french article about it. http://iphoneaddict.fr/post/news-217495-apple-propose-mise-jour-supplementaire-macos-high-sierra

Here are the announced changes:

  • Improves the reliability of the installation program
  • Corrects a graphical bug affecting the cursor when using Adobe InDesign
  • Fixes a problem preventing you from deleting Yahoo emails in Mail

Anything I need to note before and/or after installing High Sierra on a G4560 rig with a Gigabyte H110M-DS2 board? Do I have to apply any XCPM patches and such?

No need for patches, I don't have any with the same processor. It is possible you will have to uncheck Nvidia in DropOEM_DSM if you find your verbose mode flooded with busy timeouts related to IOHDACodecFunction (my case with Asus GeForce 210).
