Cant' believe nobody mentioned GridWars!

It's a totally addictive game. It's a simple port of Geometry Wars.

Quake 1 at the moment. I forgot how bloody brilliant that game is. I hadn't played it in several years, and even after games such as Half-Life 2, FarCry, and Doom 3 it still looks good and plays well. The level design is phenomenal. I'll probably play through Quake 2 next- that was a favourite of mine for awhile. I hear Quake 4 was dreadful in contrast to the first two but we'll see. It sure looks nice but the demo seemed way too contrived for my liking and took it's self too seriously. I'm generally an RPG player, but Dungeon Siege and Diablo are just about the only good RPGs available for Mac and I'm hooked on Gothic 3 for PC anyhow.

I want to laugh at all of you who are saying Halo is the best Mac game ever.
Maybe if it had came out on Mac like was originally debuted and planned it could have been..

Nah, the best Mac games are the likes of Marathon, Myth Series (also made by Bungie) and of course Escape Velocity.

I think I should update my post a bit....
I haven't played Sims 2 for months! Homeword gets pretty boring after you have finished it twice....

For now, Sim City 4

And that's it really.

I wish that new starwars game from Aspyr ran on PowerPC macs though, it looks good!

You guys should check out Armagetron Advanced. It's a remake of the Light Cycle's game in Tron. Works on OS X, Linux, and Windows. Great fun to be had. :thumbsup_anim:

I liked Avernum series and the older Cythera. Unfortunately, Cythera is not for OS X but perhaps in SheepShaver.

Anything in the Civ series. Tropico's another one that's really good for stretching what you think is going to be a few minutes out into a few hours. But, it's not very deep, so fortunately you get tired of it before it can get a lasting hold on your brain. I keep a PC for games, and I don't want to say how many hours I've lost in "Elder Scrolls: Morrowind" this year.
