I have no stability problems, neither on my PoweerBook, AMD PC or Dell Laptop.

Only MS Messenger crashes sometimes.

I seem to have had a couple of stability issues with Leopard. Just random system hanging with nothing specific seeming to trigger it.

Yeah only problems i've had with leopard was safari, everything else is just awesome for me :)

Hopefully this update fixes safari though.

In all honesty, I see no issue with having a lot more frequent, regular updates, even if it is shortly after release. While I understand Vista has LiveUpdate, the hotfixes that are pushed really don't adress many of the main bugs and issues like the incremental updates that Apple releases.

In other words, frequent updates are a lot better than being dumped with a service pack every year or two.

I've just been having problems with the display not going to sleep, and the computer not waking up from sleep.

I'm assuming that's a hackintosh issue, though? Because a 10.5.1 update really won't fix those issues. It's more of a powermanagement issue with kexts/your hardware.

Yeah - I've had that problem on my Hackintosh once so far.

SP1 for Vista isn't out yet, about a year after Vista went RTM.

...and it won't be for some time ;)

I have had some Safari stability issues as well as general system responsiveness problems I hope 10.5.1 will address. Note this is on a Macbook not a hackintosh.

What's the point? The final will be out in a few days anyway.

And who really wants a beta for a patch. The reason it is beta is because they don't know if it works perfectly, it could break more than it fixes. Not to mention when it is released, it will be free anyway.

I should hope so too!

Could you imagine if Microsoft charged, say $5 per update on Windows Update. A single install of XP would need about $800 in patches.
