Yes, something is weird with the NX type keys... (noticed with brightness and volume, perhaps others).

Without kernel logs, difficult to look into right now.

hey rehabman thnx for ur awsome toucpad drivers. if time allows can u check whether it possible to make attached kext sierra compatible or implement these changes in main drivers, since they are only driver tht detect my trackpad without any issues or kp. ii have alps trackpad using dell m4600 series, thnx. https://www.dropbox.com/s/w7fqub1oytt3w5e/VoodooPS2Controller.kext.zip?dl=0

@Rehabman, should wifi/sound work on Sierra if one follows the Elitebook guide you made? Probook 6570b here.

I haven't installed on either of my ProBooks yet. For those codecs that use 0x11d4198b, will need to zero out 0x11d4198a (applies to several of the IDT codecs).

You will have to contact the author of the ALPS kext. I don't produce any kext specifically for ALPS.

Ok on older would-be-unsupported Merom/Penryn C2D+GeForce G8x laptops too. Sierra won't install with pre "late-2009" SMBIOS such as MBP5,1 for instance but will do with MBP7,1. Once Sierra is installed, older SMBIOS settings can be reverted Ok.

Eg: Dell Latitude D630, Intel Penryn T9300, nVidia NVS 135M

Hi Herve, I have a dv2000 which has the same specs as your laptop. I just installed sierra on it. Currently its using the MBP5,1 smbios. You mentioned that it can be reverted to the the older SMBIOS. But I thought once reverted, clover will definitely show this version of Mac is not supported on this platform? Provided we remove the Platformsupport.plist from core services? Also may I ask, are you using the kext voodootscsync for this laptop in sierra too? Thanks!

A working Oracle VB VM exists; I'm actually posting from it.  I followed the instructions here - http://www.ipodhacks142.com/install-macos-10-12-sierra-dp-windows-virtualbox/

I bunged up the last line of the cut-and-paste; however, the VM still works despite the goof.

Host is the current Windows 10 Pro (build 14366 Pro).

Hardware is an Intel G3258, 8 GB of RAM

Guest RAM is 3072 GB (slightly less than half available system RAM); video RAM is 128 MB.

sudo cp org.rehabman.voodoo.driver.Daemon.plist / Library / LaunchDaemons

sudo cp VoodooPS2Daemon / usr / bin

Don't add spaces where they don't belong. There might be a tutorial on Terminal so you can avoid making basic mistakes...

And for some reason, I thought 10.12 is currently only available to developers!?

regarding volume/brightness keys...

That's correct, I've experienced the same behaviour on my Sierra'ed Hacks.

BTW, no problem with this Logitech USB keyboard I have for my desktop. But USB keyboards use IOHIDKeyboard instead of IOHIKeyboard (used by PS2 drivers).

Build latest Clover and it will work.

The issue seems to be resolved after using the latest FakeSMC.

After an (almost) successful effort, I was able to install macOS Sierra. But I have faced two problems:

  • Trackpad was detected after using the latest VoodooPS2Controller, but in System Preferences, the Trackpad menu is empty
  • Wifi doesn't work with FakePCIID_Broadcom_Wifi

Here's the link to screenshots and ioreg file:

So as BCM4352HMS. I think the FakePCIID_Broadcom_Wifi needed to be updated to add support for Sierra. Also, there might be possibilities of no longer supporting BCM43xx Wifi (which I do not believe). As I was booting in verbose mode, I found that it did detect BCM43xx at first. But perhaps later it didn't activate that.
