Yep, you can, yes indeed.mach_kernel

can I use transmac to replace mach_kernel 9.2.2 in Vista? but how I put system.kext in mkext
Kernel available at--> http://www.mediafire.com/?2qumydg2xoh

I have a strange one. And have no idea if it is Leo4All related or what.

On my HP DV6000t, finally had everything going really good. Like REALLY good. So then I try to transfer some large files from my external over. And about 25% through, it would stop. And my laptop hard-disk would go into a loop of sorts. OSX would freeze and would have to hard power-off. My external has been having a few issues, so I thought it could be that. So I hope on my Windoze machine, burn the files to a dvd (I have about 50 90mb rar files that I need to transfer). And then try copying them over. Almost the same exact thing. So I try to copy them over one by one, and it was and about 2 minutes into it, it would happen again. At first I thought maybe it was a certain file in the lot. But nope, would just do it on random ones.

About the PS/2 keyboard and touchpad on certain laptops....i heard you had to delete a file for it to work but could you tell me how to get them to work? They work fine when booting with -f but without -f, they don't work.

Leopard does currently have an issue with moving large files. I have read of several users with this problem. I could be wrong but I think it might just be Apple related, not OSX86 related.

Hi ! eddie11c love your "distribution". Congrats on it's success and PLEASE keep up the good work.

Anyway I have encountered one issue with the install of Leo4allV2 on my Benq R55 Laptop. Everything works ok but after first reboot , keyboard is no longer recognized and automatically starts the bluetooth keyboard wizard. I managed to fix the problem by booting with the -x flag and deleting the ApplePS2Nub.kext file in the /System/Library/Extensions folder. I could find just another post about this problem here ... so I guess the problem is rare .

http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry690760

This issue is Leo4AllV2 related since it did not occur on a Kalyway 10.5.1 install on the same machine.

Espionage724 Eddie posted a PS2Fix.zip I think on page 5. Install for Modified Kernal. And remove ApplePS2ACPI.kext (It is named something like that). Worked for me.

And my laptop is a HP DV6000t (I will get the exact model when I get home tonight). It has a C2D T5500 (1.66ghz), 2GB of ram, Nvidia Go7400, 120GB SATA HD, a Intel chipset which one exactlly I do not remember right now. I think it is the 945, it uses the ICH7 driver.

Alright, newest update on getting Leo4Allv2 to work... I got UltraISO to work in wine, on my ubuntu install, and I opened up the Leo4Allv2 ISO. Now where do I put the Extensions.mkext? And other such files for my chipset: ATI SB600/AMD 690g.

System:

Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H S-Series AMD AM2 Board, ATI SB600 and AMD 690G chipsets

PNY nVidia Quadro FX1500

Samsung 500GB SATA 3Gb/s HD

Athlon64 X2 AM2 3.0GHz

2GB PC6400 RAM

Phillips DVD-r/rw drive, Samsung DVD drive

SB600 Azalia sound

OS: Ubuntu Linux 7.04: Feisty Fawn

SATA device Id: 17280 (0x4380)

PATA " ": 17292 (0x438c)

Update:

I found the directory where Extensions.mkext goes, so I extracted the entire ISO to a folder, renamed the original file, and put your new .mkext in. Is there anything else I need to do? (in order to see the files in the ISO, I used UltraISO to switch it to an HFS+ volume) Unfortunately, the ISO that comes from the extracted files is too large, and the original ISO when in HFS+ format won't let me add the new .mkext... So I think I'm going to try Zeph's release, and wait for the new Leo4All, because this one is unusable for me. :hysterical:

I just wanted to thank you for your work, and comment that I've installed it on a Gateway mt6831 laptop and everything is perfect.

I just had to swap out the Intel 3965 ProWireless card for an Dell 1500 Wireless card and everything is 100%. I had to fiddle arround to get the sound working (nothing mayor I just used the Apple HD audio Patcher) and had to change 1 line to get the wired network working. Everything else is perfect. Sleep works, Time machine works, firewire works. Out of all the Mac on pc installs I have made this is the first one I can call working 100%.

If anyone has the same lap, I would be happy to help out to get up and running.

Thank you again, and keep up the good work.

sleep does not work for me. any help, please? thnx in advance!

For AMD/Intel users (existing and new members of the Leo4All Community:

Eddie11c's is currently in the decision making whether or not he is going to distribute a patch for his next updated release or a new .iso. Altough the .iso can be decided for sometime later, a patch is most likely going to appear online in a few hours. For those that are going to test his latest release as soon as it appears, please leave your feedback here in every way possible from install script errors to post-install experiences. Thank you all very much.

Below are some of the fixes in addition to new MD5 checksum for your confirmation-

This patch will bring Leo4Allv1 to Leo4Allv2. You must have a patched ISO already with the MD5: 293f82f9624eadd49baee70e19d68adc

New Leo4All.ISO MD5 checksum after applying the patch should be:

6d4e68afb3486baec03b446fb0a5d711

Changes/Fixes:

Improved ATI and GMA950 graphics support with updated kexts. There are some new options here so take a look. For ATI I added new installers for 2600PRO/2600XT/3850/3870/3870X2. Now GMA950 has an option that will install Vanilla 10.5.2 kexts and Natit.

Updated the RemoveVideo script, now it will ask you what type of video card so it only removes the corresponding kexts. Simply boot into single user mode with the bootflag -s at the Darwin prompt. Type:

/sbin/fsck -fy

/sbin/mount -uw /

./RemoveVideo

Follow the prompt to choose type of card.

Then type exit to continue booting.

Corrected an issue with some PS2 keyboards on laptops not working(I hope)

Added the latest Time Machine and Security Updates into the installer.

Added Quicktime 7.4.1 update.

Added option to choose Vanilla 9.2.2 kernel.

Updated AppleSMBIOS to latest version by Netkas.

Removed APIC option(Now the installer uses this older ACPIPlatform and AppleAPIC by default)

Added new Applications: Unison, Pacifist, KextHelper

Added support for some Marvell PATA chipsets, for those ICH9 users that requested it. Choose the ICHx fixed IOATAFamily.kext

System Profiler should be working as intended now for everyone.

By request I changed out the AppleIntegratedFramebuffer.kext

Modified the default ACL package, this may speed the install a little for some. It is down to under 15 minutes total for me!

Other various fixes/tweaks that I don't remember off hand.

***Discuss any issues you may be experiencing here!

It works fine but qe/ci not working and the ati hd2600 pro 512 is recognized but with only 256 vram.

I have tried installing with and w/o video driver.

what to do?

Thanks a lot for the great work

question, when customizing the option, I deselect the lanague package and translator. I have an Intel base machine, so I didn't check either vanilla and left what was checked (that has speedstep support and something else.) Is that fine. I just finish install and everything works but I'm not sure if I was suppose to uncheck that and checked one of the vanilla kernel.

Juat as notification: unfortunately, I have to stop trying Leo 10.5.2 cause it seems that there is no solution for my ATA Controller. Will try Tiger, maybe I will get more success ;) However, looking forward to see my trouble fixed, and ready to be a tester with my notebook.

Notebook : Nexoc E704 - for Hardware Info see my SIG.

Thank you Eddie !

its my first OS X install succes with your Leo4Allv2 Version.

Problem is Dual Boot Vista (can BOOT OK) / OS X (can't BOOT)

Intern SATA : HDD 0 MBR NTFS Partition 1 = VISTA - Boot Hook enable

Extern USB : HDD 1 MBR NTFS Partition 1 = Data Only

Extern USB : HDD 1 MBR HFS+ Partition 2 = Extended and Jour. OS X - Boot Hook disable over Linux Life CD

can't Boot OS X over EasyBCD 1.52 and not over BIOS Boot Menu EXT Boot.
