@Eddie11c:

After applying ppf2, it works flawless on sse2 and sse3, as well as c2d, though i have to admit that i prefer a retail install ;)

The only thing i´m missing are gfx strings. I messed up with my PX7600GT 256MB. With nvinject it works, but i can´t get to work with efi  Is there a way to automize the creation and insertion of gfx strings???

Anyway, flawless release and big thanks for your work!!

Hi there!

Great release again, though some stuff is not working, I'll just mention what I can test.

Installed on a Asus p5b, nvidia 8600gt 512MB, Core2Duo E4500.

Azalia Audio and Nvidia kext didn't work :( , had to reinstall them for some reason, I also get an HFS+ Partition Error

when booting first.

This could easily be repaired with Neosmart Easybcd, had to activate the Vista Partition (I have first Partition Vista, second Leo).

Boot Vista, Start Easybcd, Select Diagnostic Center and "Repair HFS+ Partition Error".

It would be great if it was possible to un-select "install Bootloader" since it might mess up your boot configuration, don't know if this is possible???

Another issue is the Extensions.mkext for faster booting. If I mirror the CD to a Partition (I usually do that for faster access for repairs), I don't have USB-Support (no keyboard/mouse), I will try If I can delete the file and have it recreated....

I'll also try to find out why the Azalia Audio and Nvidia512 kexts didn't install...

But thanks again, it's really great having your DVD.....it saves so much time.... :)

regards,

DrDeelay!

The v6 bootloader in Ritalin's release is identical to the one in Leo4All.

If you are getting a partition error can you please confirm that fdisk -d shows the OS X partition as type AF and not something else.

I have check the disk with fdisk -d and get this for the Leo partition:

"63,31471272,0xAF,*,0,1,1,1023,254,63"

I don't know, if this is o.k or not?

Has anyone else had trouble connecting to windows/smb shares? For me it seems like Finder has no idea what to do with smb URLs. The shares show up in the Finder Sidebar but clicking on them gives me a "connection failed" message in the Finder window. Using command-k and manually opening a smb:// URL I get a message about a bad URL and a list of acceptable types - one of which is smb://...!

I didn't see this on leo4all v1. I have leo4all v2 installed on two machines - both have this problem.

There is a thread about this here

Is there something different about v2 as opposed to v1 that could be causing this? ACL? the Security Update?

This release works fine on my C2D config, the Nvidia part also.

But on the P4 config, the x1950GT AGP gfx needs the 10.4.7 IONDRVSupport. kext(without:blue screen). So if you plan a ppf, please include it.

Since 10.4.5 this is far the best release. THX :(

Check this out. Please report back if it works, was a problem with a file in the time machine update I think causing the problem.

This sounds like a good copy of Leopard....also I read something about updates with the Intel 950GMA....will it make it perform better because if so i'll go download a copy of this right now lol.

Hi there!

The NVInject 512 kext seems to be the wrong one for some reason....don't know why, maybe it got mixed up with the Vanilla one...

Just installed the using the 9.2.2 Kernel-Option and everything works great.

Definately not as my 8800GTS 512 is running on it currently.

Tell me about it! I have used so many over the last few weeks, but I ran by radio shack the other day and picked up a couple packs of 25 for $5 each. They are not high quality, but have yet to fail me even at max burn speed. The updates are to the ISO directly so there isn't a way of getting from a patch. But if your system is running fine then there is no need to muck around with it.

As of ppf2 you can just install it to a partition (via restore) and install that way. Prior to ppf2 usb would hang at the language selection screen.

ls

If you use pacifist and open the package Leo_Patches. you will find 3 system profiler files. Extract those and install into /System/Library/SystemProfiler.

Or you could go HERE and get it

Thanks, eddie. It worked perfectly and the System Profiler works now. In the future I will check the Wiki first to see if something is already a known issue.

I have a dell SX280, When OSX trys to install it flash's a blue screen then it my monitor says " can not display this mode "

any idea?

Edit, i had to plug in the dvi cable

but now when i click on INSTALL it dosn't do anything....

nada nothing

any idea.?

Hook up an external display or try forcing a different resolution and/or refresh rate. "graphics mode"="1024x768x32@70" or something you know is supported by your display. If that fails then an external display must be used, sorry.

After patching the leo4allv1 iso, I installed it however quartz extreme seems to be disabled on my graphics card HIS Radeon X1300. When I installed leopard with leo4all [original], I had full quartz extreme support. During the install I could see graphics update was going to be installed in the installer log. So I doubt its anything to do with leo4all [original] not applying the graphics update.

Might it be something that leo4allv2 does that causes this?

What could be causing the problem?

Thanks, greatly appreciated.

I have a 7600gt and I am experiencing the exact same thing. I tried adding my device ID to the kext files but that hasn't resolved the issue, it's actually made it worse, my resolution is now 1024x768. =\

resin, I have a 7800GT and had the same problem. I fixed it by using - and you're gonna have to search for it in the "usual places" - Leo-only_NVinject_0.1.3.zip. It is only 1 .kext you have to add to /System/Library/Extensions. I was prepared to modify a few .pinfo files with the exact device string for my card, i.e. 0x032410de (the string for a 7600GT is probably different), but I didn't have to do anything. It just worked and I have all the high resolutions now with CI and QE enabled.

There's more than 1 way to skin a cat and if NVinject doesn't work for you then you have other options. But I didn't need to do anything else. Oh yeah... I had first installed the recent Leopard 10.5.2 graphics update from apple and that didn't do anything for me. That's when I went to NVinject. As always, your mileage may vary. Good luck.

0.1.3 doesn't seem to work for me either. I can't figure out what the deal is. The original leo4all worked. If I edit the kext files I end up getting a black screen with the spinning wheel, though it looks high res. lolI just tested logmein and it works on this release. Son of a ... now I'm really determined to get the video fixed. What are my other options?

Boy, my comuter sure doesn't like this for some reason. Details below specs.

I'm not sure what the problem I'm having is... it's been very hit and miss. I'm very new to this, but am fairly knowledgable when it comes to Windows PC's, so my troubleshooting efforts with bios certainly came easy. Unfortunately my efforts yielded no success. Now I'm not sure if it's my Blu-Ray burner or what, but something is definitely causing the install to hang. A lot of times it will hang after I choose a language for install. Sometimes I can get to the disk utility, and then it will hang there. Other times I've gotten clear to where it will begin installing, and then hang. I tried installing onto a IDE hard drive and the Raptor that I have... both result in the install hanging sometime or another. Tried enabling/disabling numerous options in BIOS, and still no luck. Downclocked the CPU back to it's default speed, still nothing. Removed all but one stick of ram (ram that I've tested with Memtest, and passed all tests), but still no luck (even tried it in different slots). Tomorrow I will attempt to hook up my old DVD reader/writer that connects via IDE rather than the Blu-Ray burner that connects via SATA... I have no idea if this will make a difference or not. It just doesn't seem to like my PC. I'm hoping it's the DVD/Blu-Ray burner. If not, I'm giving up. If anybody has any clue whatsoever as to what might be causing this, let me know... whatever the option is in BIOS to enable/disable... likely I've already tried it, but hell, who knows? Maybe I missed something. Anyways, I'll post back later today with my results on swapping the Blu-Ray/DVD writer for just the DVD reader/writer. *CROSSES FINGERS**
