  1. DSDT for Asus P8P67-M PRO

    I posted two dumps, one is should be using iMac12,1 (the first one) reason for using iMac11,1 is to get full scores iMac12,1 gets me bad performance. Again check the firs dump it should be with iMac12,2 I can give it a spin... I though it was jst for Asus boards.... point me to the download..

  3. False alarm.... on the Expose problem I rebooted the Vm OSX several times and it didn't work. But when I rebooted the host, and then the Vm OSX it worked again, so I guess it was something with VMware not the driver....
  4. Now on beta 6 VLC works. Now another problem I've noticed is now my Expose corners do not work except the top left one, all other three corners not responsive. Don't know if this has to do with the new formulas. Any one else having this problem?

BlackScreen on the VLC, but working on the Divx. My radeon card doesn't seem that old not to have the feature, but maybe it is the Radeon brand, or my Win2k3 setup. Who knows, maybe wait till others chime in with their results on Radeon cards.
  6. Well tested last version, and I now get a black screen on VLC on avi, divx, xvids, and mkv My info is: Windows 2003 Server (with all the 3d stuff on), VMWorkstation 7.1.3, vram 128, ATI RADEON HD 5450 512MB Same problem with chess as previous poster, maybe it has to do with Radeon Cards?

  9. Just a heads up... I know everyone here loves flash or at least requires it for the web experience. The problem with installing version 10.0.r45 is that it has a very big security issue related to that version. Unfortunately it is also the last version that doesn't use Quartz Extreme acceleration which is why Safari and other browsers crash on a flash page and a newer version of the flash plugin. So I have a middle of the road solution which is to: 1) Install the latest flash and use Firefox 3.x. 2) Install NoFlash plugin on Safari to avoid freezes. For some reason Firefox 3 does not let a newer flash run Quartz Extreme acceleration so the new plugin works with it. With this method don't have an insecure version of flash installed and you can still use flash on Firefox 3.x. But yeah you wouldn't be able to use flash on Safari and it also would not work on Firefox 4 or any other browser that allows the newer versions of Flash to turn on the Quartz Extreme acceleration. This is a compromise solution which will have to do until we get a Quart Extreme enabled driver for our VM BTW.. MSOK did you have a chance to look at my vmlog files I posted a few posts back?
  10. The easiest way to do this is to generate a clean OSX install following the guides in this post. Using either donk's method or even easier with Albert's unlocker. Once you have a clean install ready to go use the Migration Assistant to migrate all your information from the real mac to the virtual one.

  12. Well acording to Xbench having 1 core and 4 CPUS is 20 to 30 points better on the cpu benchmarks, Handbrake renders a little bit faster, and overall it feels faster. On the host side I can see from the tast manager (on windows 2003 host) that using one cpu only uses one y my 4 real cpus, using 4 virtual uses the 4 real. Also since I run 5 more always on VMs I do like to have priority for OSX. Here are my vmlog and vmx files for one cpu (this works great no problems). I am waiting for the 4 VM processor to crash to post that log, the vmx file should be the same except the 4 procesors on 1 cpu. For the rebuilding using the tools, I sort of did that. When I changed the EFI settings it didn't boot so what I did was to build a new OSx vm from the workstation menu using Mac OSX 10.6 64bit setting. That worked so I just swapped the virutal disk from the donk's install to the new VM. Made sure all customizations for donk's were removed. I will try a clean install to see if the 4 processor problem is still in a clean new install. Meanwhile if you have a chance to view my vmx and vmlog, to see if you notice anything out of place.   13. I almost have a perfect install. But my machines hangs randomly. I have a 10.6.5 vmware that used to run on server 2.0 using donks method. It was really stable with 2 processors, but the USB kept giving me problems. From the no recognized devices, to messing up the usb until host restart, and also losing the mouse. Since I am trying to dev on the iphone, I needed the usb working. So this was not a good solution. If I didn't use USB the machine was stable 100%. So I switched to Workstation 7.1.3, using Alberts patcher, removed all the Donk's stuff from the image, and modified my VMX to use efi. Now mouse works perfectly (never frezes), and USB devices work perfectly too. But here is my problem. I run the machine with one processor it is stable for hours and days. But if I try 2 or four processors, or 1 core 2 processors or any combination of 2 to 4 processors I get a random crash. Usually happens when it idles. I have tried removing all the power settings to leave it to never sleep, I have caffeine installed, I even tried a weird boot arg sto1=0xfffffff (or something like that suggested in vmwares forums) but nothing works I get random crash. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix using multiple processors? (using a Q6600 on the host) Any help will be appreciated very much as this iss the last step I need to get the vmware SnowLeopard fully functional.
  14. I got my P35-DS3L rev1.0 working after doing what derpuma said in post #92. I booted in single user mod with -s -f -v and ran the command. After that I was able to boot. The DSDT.aml I generated with kolalala's ACPI patcher gave mi working sound (choose 888-2) and working network But I can get my Geforce 8600 GT 512mb to work with DSDT.aml. With efi strings genereated with EFIstudio it works. Does any one know how to convert a working GFX EFI string into a DSDT.aml patch? I also still checkin ICH9 not being reported corerctly, sleep, and restart. I will post any success I have in this thread.
  15. Pues yo se lo compre a una chava que dijo que se lo gano en una rifa. Lo encontre en craigslist, y pues fue dando y dando para eso de que no te transen. Fui a una tienda de ATT (fue esto en gringolandia) y se me quedaron viendo con cara de what? (osea como tienes un iphone 3gs a como 1 semana de que salio, sin activar y libre de contrato) Y les dije que me lo gane en una rifa. Me dieron un sim de 20dls, y se activo. De hecho en el sitio de garantia de apple ni salia activo hasta que fui a att. La chava me lo dio a muy buen precio que me salio mucho mas barato que con plan de telcel a 24 meses. Ademas que cuando lo compre todavia faltaban 1.5 meses para que telcel lo trajera Y pues jala super bien. Yo lo compre mas que nada por la velocidad y el ram adicional, dado que con el G a cada rato me botaba aplicaciones que tenia en background por falta de ram. Fuera de ahi no es mucho la diferencia contra el G. Pero pues si quieren darse el gusto comprenlo. Especialmente ahorita mientras no sale el FM3.1 eso garantiza que basicamente son desblockeables. Ahhh otro detalle del 3gs.. parece que a estos para plancharles el firmware ocupas un certificado de apple (que te mandan a la hora del DFU) los dos archivos que ocupas guardar son los del iBEC y iBSS o algo asi, que basicamente son tus llaves para tu numero de serie para poderle planchar FW en el futuro. Hay varios tutoriales de como hacer esto en la red, y es buena idea que si tiene un GS le saquen esos archivos antes de que apple ya no los mande o los poreteja de otra manera saludos XBC
