Waiting kext ;)

for 10.6.2 you need this files files_city10001_10.6.2.zip and remove the ATI1600Controller.kext from Extensions folder

Hi, thanks for your reply,

Now, I'm on iPC 10.5.6 upgraded on 10.5.8, but i've now a white screen with the screen splitted in 4 ...

For extracting the EDID, with which program do I do that ?

Thanks again !

(sorry for my english again ;))

Sorry for the delay...

My device id is 71D5

And my EDID extracted from Windows is here.

Thank you ;)

No problem

Here are the files you need AkdM_ATIinject.kext.zip then this files from here and here

Hope you can manage to get it working.

Now for xorti that updated to 10.6.2 this are the files for you:

EVOenabler.kext.zipExtensions.zip This should be ... the EVOenabler is a replacement for atiinject but it is your call.

Ok, thanks, I test now ;)

Edit: No, don't working :/ My screen is splitted in four ...

PS: The ATINDRV was named 4ATINDRV without the .kext, I don't know if it's a bug :)

ok try this ones ATIinject.kext.zipATINDRV.kext.zip The file 4ATINDRV is no bug ... just for more advanced users ( no offense ) ;) sure you have 10.5.8 now ?

Thanks, I try this one now, no problems about the advanced users, I'm a newbie on macs ;) (Not on Windows ;))

Edit; Don't works, still got the screen splitted in 4

Ps: I use Kext Helper b7 for installing the kexts, I don't know if it's change if I use the command line install method ...

Yes, i'm on 10.5.8 :) (iPC 10.5.6 upgraded to 10.5.8)

if this is not working we have to try something else

NatitX1700.kext.zip

remove the atiinject (there looks to be a problem)

Hi RightEye,

Got one question, saw your attachment to xorti (Extensions.zip) it has ATIFramebuffer and ATINDRV aswell.. Does having ATIFramebuffer make any difference at all? i tried doing the same but its usually ATINDRV which takes precedence and a 32bit version ATIWormy is loaded.. Though i usually have some weird problems having it, i.e sometimes the screen goes blue and come back again.. but apart from that everything work ! Just that its still 32 bit. How to get full resolution support in ATIFramebuffer ??

Thanks,

A.Xavier

You can follow this guy's work

Thanks, trying it now ;)

Ok ... let's see!

First we have to be sure that the device is 71D5 and not 71DE

Second that the EDID is from internal LCD and not from an attached display

Try to follow this guy's work and install RadeonHD.kext for Leopard and remove the other injector (Natit or Atiinject) and post back the result. Possible i'll know better what is going on.

Cheers

Hi,

I tried the RadeonHD kext, but, when I boot, the screen is in 1024x768 pixels. Then if I go to the monitor settings, I can choose 1280x800, but if click on it, my system goes to grey/white color, and I only can shutdown.

Then, when I reboot, I got the "Please Reboot your system by holding power button blablabla..." on a grey screen...

Thanks ;)

Ps: I can boot in safe mode ( -x ) in 1024x768

could someone post a sample of the ATIinject info.plist with edid added so I could see what it looks like. I think I'm doing something wrong. Thanks.

Edit- I got it, I had to boot in 32bit. Thank you righteye for all of your time in helping all of us. It took me days to read all the posts but it was worth it. :censored2:

No black screen,

Only AsusF3SE_ReallyFenix.kext.zip(Atiinject) + original ATINDRV.kext

or

AsusF3SE_city10001.kext.zip + original ATINDRV.kext

standart boot with no problem and no 1280x800 !

Hello Really Fenix,

I cannot read russian, but did notice in another post that you have 10.5.6 running on an Asus F3Se. Do you have any guides or tips you could share with me to get OSx86 running with network and 1280x800? Thank you in advance! :D
