My os is:

10.6.3 Retail with chameleon 2 rc3 as boot manager.

hardware: acer travelmate 5720g

 

These are my kexts for ati radeon x2500 (x1700)

dual monitor is workink

laptop is at 1200x800

external monitor is at 1680x1050

 

there is 2 little problems,

1rst: i dont know how to boot without external monitor?!

2nd: there is a line about 1px line, that goes from the bottom all the way to up, on the esternal monitor, how can i disable that?

it is like a SCAN LINE....

 

(how to install win7 next to my osx 10.6.3 to get dual boot? )

You have the same EDID for the external and internal displays inside Natit ...

but is not ok ... better delete the DFP1 string .... also for this video card everybody has to boot with the external display plugged in at boot time in order to work Dual Display

Must be sure that the LVDS EDID is for and from internal display ...

 

I'll do an EvoEnabler injector for you right now and upload it in a few minutes ... to give it a try

Here is the injector to testdorkakutya_71DE_x2500_EVOenabler.kext.zip

inside there are 2 info.plist to check out, one has an EDID from a Samsung TV, is just for test, to remove it delete or edit the DFP1 string. Hope it works fine for you now.

i have no windows anymore, how can i get my edids under osx?

 

 

 

 

ive just deleted that string you recomended, now that scan line goes from up to the bottom, and slower than it was going from the bottom to the top. strange.

there is no way to get a proper EDID from osx but normally there is no need for the external display ... try to test the new injector posted above and do a repair permissions

The internal display works as it is suppose to or there are some glitches ?

the internal works perfektly

thanks for the kext, but dont know what to do with it,

should i remove the NatitX1700.kext from SLE before i install this one with kexthelper?

or what?

Soooo

There is a Atiinject and a Natitx1700 together in your system ?

The EVOenabler you can put it in /Extra/Extensions folder and yes ... only one injector must be installed in order to get proper results.

wow, now it seems to be working perfectly but closer look, i can see the scan line from bottom to top very very fast.

is that normal? (with info2.plist -» info.plist)

 

the info.plist cause this funny stuff :)

the switchresx4 is geting the info from mac side ... so is exactly what is injected, so if is a wrong injection might not be a good way to get that info. That did not happen on windows, the line there ? Also it is a VGA connection or DVI ? In about this mac at the graphics section ... the external display is the model you have or is just another "display"

in win (xp vista win7 everything is just fine)

 

exernal is: LG Flatron W2234S VGA (not dvi, but my card has also dvi connection, i did never use that)

mac recognizes external as W2234

after a restart strangely the scan line goes from the top to the bottom again and this time it is slow.

what if im on a train, on a trip, and i have no external monitor with me? :)

I have not installed Mac OS yet, but I will do that tomorrow.

 

After that i will watch for the mic and tell you.

 

Does your internal monitor work 1280x800 with QE/CI? Any problems with the graphic?

 

(PS: i need only internal monitor)

Now are you happy with OsX? Do everything work, USB, LAN, Sound,....?

I see you used a Retail DVD to install Snow Leopard. Can you tell me which Boot CD you used and which kexts do you need for your TM 5720g?

 

Chameleon rc5 as bootcd, im not sure if rc5 is out i got it from the author. but earlier versiont may do it.

I have another problem with the Travelmate 5720g.

Until now i tried different Boot cd's (EmpireEFI_V108, [url=&quot;http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/&quot;]#####[/url]). I got kernel panics....

 

I know i have to create my own Boot cd and to insert your kexts. But now I'm working in MS Windows and I can't edit the Boot-CD (especially the Preboot.dmg from the boot cd). I haven't access to a Mac now.

 

So, dorkakutya, can you send me your Boot-cd file for our TM 5720g?

 

or

 

Can someone tell me how to edit the Boot-cd with Windows to insert my kexts?

i installed patched ATISupport.kext for 10.6.4 71de

and remove ATI1600Controller.kext == nothing

 

then i installed ATIFramebuffer.kext and ATIRadeonX1000.kext for 10.6.2 71de == bad image and don't working system

 

Now permission 1280x800 but QE don't working.

 

 

i use this kexts permission x1700.zip

 

 

Waiting kext ;)
