Thanks for answers about Launch Services Database.

Indeed, kill is not working anymore but delete works.

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -delete -r -domain local -domain system -domain use

Launch Services database file has been deleted. You MUST reboot.

Would it reset to default?

I do this to remove duplicate entries in Open with...

The correct entries in Open with are being saved even though the database is being recreated.

I just used -delete and it worked.
I didn't add the rest: -r -domain local -domain system -domain use, understanding that using -delete doesn't implement the other arguments.
I don't know if it makes sense, but that's what I did.

I can't tell you.
It deletes duplicates of Open With..., but I can't tell you if it resets the default apps you set. I don't think so, but I can't say for sure!

I think the easiest way is to restore the snapshot with MyKextInstaller and then install only AppleHDA using MyKextInstaller.

Your MyKextInstaller worked for me on the Z690 Hack thank you  very much

Guys!

You are getting way off topic here. I've been looking at the last 20 pages and most of the posts are either about OCLP-MOD or Mykextinstaller. we already have a dedicated topic for OCLP-MOD at:

Dedicated Topic for Mykextinstaller and AppleHDA issuse:

@naiclub No one is accusing you to being stupid and we're all friends here and we learn new stuff from each other everyday. If you made a mistake and messed up your system it's on you. You should have known better by now that tinkering with a beta OS on your main computer is always have the risk of breaking stuff so you needed to be more careful.

This conversation will not go any further.

Thanks

Installation from Sonoma with some issues that I consider normal since it's a beta.
No sound
No Bluetooth
No Wi-Fi
Some issues with USB ports
Before installation, I disabled WhateverGreen and nothing else.
The installation took about 10 minutes.

hello ive got a new optiplex 3080 with intel i5 10500 without dgpu .. ive working on sequoia good but after updating to tahoe ive got blackscreen after boot .. tried to connect via dp and the same issue .. any advice?

It is a come lake that you use smbios to temporarily disable to install the WhateverGreen.kext kext

Just now, eSaF said:

Try using Mac Pro 7,1 with WEG.kext disabled.

You'll have better success, don't worry, after the install is done, you can discard the 7,1 EFI Folder and use your usual one from before.

One caveat, on using the 7,1 EFI don't sign into your Apple account during the setup.

You will be automatically signed into your Apple account when you swop out the 7,1 EFI Folder and replace it with your normal/previous one when the machine is rebooted.

ive changed the device id  device propirtes and booted but without acceleration .. does the new macos need new video patch ?
