WhateverGreen.kext In my case in New: it was necessary to disable the kext to be able to install

@Mirone, thanks for your efforts - I'm all for a more "light" version of OCLP where I know which kexts get installed and what things get altered.

I actually tried your method after an uneventful fresh install of Tahoe DB3 from USB installer (USB audio working independently of ALC283)...

I tried installing both AppleHDA from KDK_26.0_25A5279m.kdk/S/L/E, and later on, the AppleHDA from your post earlier in this thread, reverting the changes from Recovery terminal before each installation attempt (to restore the last sealed snapshot).

SIP disabled with csr-active-config set to 03080000 and SecureBootModel disabled in OC config.plist.  Also an attempt from Tahoe Recovery with csrutil disable and csrutil authenticated-root disable commands ---> csr-active-config value of 7f020000.

Maybe @laobamac_yyds can comment on what exactly gets root patched into /S/L/E besides AppleHDA.kext with OCLP-Mod?  If I am not mistaken, there is more than just inserting AppleHDA, repairing kext permissions and rebuilding kext caches, creating and then blessing the snapshot?

@guru. Any chance of you sharing your DESKTOP 1 SKYLAKE EFi for Tahoe ?

It might have been enabled by the OS itself

On Recovery mode, all apfs volume are FileVault=No without any modifications.

Always, Stuck on logging screen after entering session password (Beta 3).

I update to Beta 3 from a fresh Beta 2 installation.

Good day my special kind of people 😁, can someone please advise especially @deeveedee as to why my hackmini is refusing to boot with MacPro7,1 SMBIOS? I want to try MacPro7,1 to see if it will resolve the no sound from Apple Music with MacMini8,1 😆

Read this thread.  @rafale77 is no longer active here, but @miliuco is very familiar with this problem.

EDIT: Note that your hack must have a dGPU to try the proposed solutions.  If you have only iGPU, it will not work.

Have you tried disabling WEG (or adding boot-arg -wegnoegpu)?  If that works, you should be able to enable WEG after you login the first time.

@Matgen84 If I understand correctly, Tahoe Beta 3 is the first version of Tahoe that you are testing - is that correct?  If that is correct, can you test Tahoe Beta 2 first?  I am seeing reports of others who are stuck at the login screen in Beta 3.

@deeveedee Tahoe Beta 3 is an update. First, I fresh install Beta 2, without issue on login screen. Now I try to install Beta 3 from USB, without erasing. I let you know the result.

I may be alone on this, so forgive what may be a minority opinion.  Would it be possible to keep OCLP-Mod development discussion in a separate thread?  Otherwise, let's just change the title of this thread.  Thank you.

EDIT: @Mirone It would probably be a good idea to have a separate thread for development discussion and bug reporting for MyInstallerKext as well.  Similar to the separate thread for VoodooHDA that recently discussed installation of VoodooHDA in Tahoe.

Already did.

In my own case, my regular Mac Model is iMac20,2 but I had to use 7,1 Pro to make the installation.

With your slightly modified EFI, I was able to update to Beta 3. I used the full installer on the Beta 2 HD. I had no issues with SMBIOS iMac20,2 during the update.

Okay I have read and it is quite interesting. Unfortunately I have only iGPU and still wondering why the MacPro7,1 smbios is refusing to boot in my HackMini 🤔

EDIT2: @Takiller Leaving the post below for history, but my quick test here shows that MP7,1 works fine on an iGPU-only hack.

=========================================

@Takiller Have you ever been able to boot an iGPU-only hack with SMBIOS MP7,1?

EDIT: If you have successfully used SMBiOS MP7,1 with an iGPU-only hack, then maybe you have a problem with the PlatformInfo you created.  If you have not successfully used SMBIOS MP7,1 with an iGPU-only hack, that actually would not surprise me.

Yes, my Matebook X Pro laptop is currently on MP7,1 as a workaround for Apple Music audio issues in Teaho and you might be correct as it does have an unsupported Nvidia eGPU 🤔. It's true indeed that we learn till our last breaths 😜

Metal 3 on an unsupported GeForce GT 630?
How do you do that?
RX 570 only gets Metal 2.
