Updated with no issue. This time, Intel AX210 without OCLP root patch so I got incremental update (iMac19,1).

So far, all is working fine.

What exactly changed in macOS since 14.3.1? Becasue I can upgrade my ancient Lenovo T530 Ivy Bridge Notebook, but I can't update my Z490 and my Lenomo T490. So annoying.

Hi, are you using Clover or Opencore? I fix update with RestricteEvents from Lorys89

https://github.com/Lorys89/RestrictEvents/releases/tag/1.1.4

Hi all after reverting the oclp patches for modern wifi I downloaded the 14,4 update which came in a 2GB

the update took approx 15 min on a Z97m-plus with a 4790K,32GB ram and a sabent 256GB M.2

I reinstalled the root patches from OCLP 1.4 nightly and updated the IOSkywalkFamily.kext in my OC EFI KEXTS

everything went smoothly see attached picsSystem.thumb.png.e0964ca5d095052237a2514d46bbe6a3.pngWorkingWiFi.png.a0d8a462431c72978621d8f5a1482717.pngUpdateDownload.thumb.png.bf13b541fb387c324ff4b6921b306cfa.png

It's not about getting updates. It's about the installer crashing

I'm having exactly the same issue. It downloads the update ok, it states that it will take 30 mins but takes about 10 mins then reboots. Boots to the installer and a few seconds later crashes and reboots the computer. I have no idea why it's doing that? Never had any issues with the updates before.

l use Opencore

Try SecureBootModel=Disabled

This worked but I would like to know why? Has Apple changed anything? I have had it in default and it updated fine before.

Please upload here your config.plist.

Thank you. I managed to fix it by just disabling secure boot. Thanks though 👍

@Allan

Actually I don't see any difference adding or removing those 2 Bluetooth properties in NVRAM, the system works fine in both ways.

To add them into Clover, I don't know.

@Carlrose

Sometimes disabling SecureBoot Model is required to install or update the system but often you can enable it back after installation.
