nope, png won't do!

you'll have to convert them. If you have a huge PNG icon collection (like me :)) get pixadex and convert png to icon format, if not, download mac icons from DevArt, interfacelift etc etc.

Also, if your drives are NTFS you wil have to refer to a guide to change them.

If you need the guide ask me! :)

thx for introducing interfacelift to me , i just downloaded some icons and changed them with CandyBay..

now it seems like this , but i cant change the icons for C or D partition

If the drive is FAT 32 this is what you need to do!

1.> right click the drive, select 'get info'

2.> open finder and navigate to the icon file.

3.> copy the icon file (ctrl + c).

4.> select the get info window, click the icon on the upper left of the window, until it show a border.

5.> now paste the icon file (ctrl + v).

Icon changed.

this is a quickly written guide. if you don't understand, i'll attach a few screenshots! :)

i missed her, so i had to make her

fit a little bit better to tiger.

Plain and simple. I like the OSX look the way itis. The disk- and Cd-icons represent what they are so Ifeel no need to change it. I just would have liked more brushed metal but alas.

Anyway. My desktop shows OSX, OS9 and Win XP running :-)
